Your CV

Be Early to Apply!

One of the reasons why you apply for jobs on popular job boards and you arrive at no success is because you either wait for email alert or you wait till mid day or late evening before you search for jobs. That will not get you anywhere except on few success cases where the position is advertised at that time. Most times when you wait for email alert and apply, you become the number 759 person to apply and this is how HR managers/recruiters work: they cannot invite all qualified persons at once. First they invite the first 10 or 15 qualified persons (depending on the office size of the firm) or more if it is a test based interview. Once their required candidate has been gotten, they don't bother about the rest of the 600 or so. So wake early, know the time various job boards upload jobs early in the morning and apply early.

You may not want to use LinkedIn for job search but when recruiters do background search, LinkedIn is the first place they go even before Facebook and general search on Google. So if you're not found, you may definitely loose out in the race.
