Acting Governor of Adamawa State Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri has emerged the Peoples Democratic Party Candidate where he defeated his rivals by scoring a total of 624 votes while his closest rival former Executive Secretary of Universal Basic Education Dr. Ahmed Modibbo scored 197 votes.

The primaries which started on Saturday afternoon lasted throughout the night and was concluded around 4:00am on Sunday.

Former military administrator of Lagos and Borno states, Gen. Buba Marwa, who was the second runner up in the contest, scored a distant 54 votes, Dr. Umar Ardo scored 9 votes and Jerry Kumdisi scored 4 votes while 25 votes were invalidated.

Whgat about Ahmed Gulak? Did he withdraw? Lolssss I even thought he was the anointed one lol...haaahaha thank God he isn't , his sycophancy is historic.
Fintiri Governor? PDP will tailor their campaign to "God put him their" "He's a new breed" and all those Jonathan's style. If he wins, he'll do nothing 4 the state, he will seek reelection and should he be voted, he will perform woefully again. He will spend all his time blaming Nyako and the opposition. Make no mistake, we are witnessing another Jonathan.

How well can Fintiri perform as governor? Damn it! Adamawa state need change!

At last he had gotten what he wanted. He should not 4get dat he also could be sent out of office d same way he did to Nyako. I know he wil still want to contest again next year.

Marwa is the biggest loser on this one. He can't even contest for the 2015 main election after signing his way out. And I don't know if shame will allow him return to APC.

Ribadu is on a fragile edge. Ahmadu Fintiri if he wins may refuse to step aside in 2015 and threaten Jonathan with Adamawa votes and he will fold and Ribadu will be left in the cold.
