Many believe NYSC is an avenue for some govt. officials to siphon money from the country's treasury, given the amount claimed to be spent on an average corper. The argument is, NYSC isn't really doin much in promoting UNITY in the country, and as such should be scrapped, besides the peculiar nature of the country should ordinarily not encourage money to be 'wasted' in such manner, instead the money should be given in lump sum to every graduate in the country to start up something and be self-employed while those that are interested in seeking employment can do so without constituting a menace in any from to the community. What do you think? |

Dreamers! NYSC has come to stay. I don't see the senate passing a bill to scrape the program. The possibility is bleak. |
