PDP Has Made Ribadu A Laughing Stock? by Demichaels: 12:04am On Sep 11, 2014 |
The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has made the pioneer chairman of Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC), Malam Nuhu Ribadu, a laughing stock, Goveror Rabiu Kwankwaso of Kano State said on Wednesday. Nuhu Ribadu He made the remark in Kano while receiving merit awards from two groups, APC Kwankwasiyya Amana, Bauchi state chapter; and Nigeria 774 Kwankwasiyya Merger: Kwankwaso for President. “After he left the APC for the PDP, his new party did not find him worthy of its gubernatorial ticket. I am sure the PDP stakeholders in Adamawa are now laughing at him. We sympathize with him.” The governor however called on the Adamawa electorate to think wisely and vote for the APC candidate in the forthcoming gubernatorial election, considering the hardships caused to the state by the PDP central government. He appealed to them to pay back good for good by dumping the PDP and voting for the APC which is ready to bring about positive and realistic changes in the whole country. “Anybody who voted for PDP, which within five years could not lead the nation rightly has deceived himself,” lamented the governor, pointing out that APC has come up with a credible candidate in person of Senator Muhammad Jibrila Bindaw who can salvage Adamawa state. He alleged that the Adamawa state PDP chose a candidate whom most of their supporters see as incompetent, hoping that people in the state should opt for APC, describing it as the best party in Nigeria. Earlier, the chairmen of the NGOs Murtala Abdullahi Dass and Habu Ibrahim Fagge appealed to Kwankwaso to enter the race for the presidency come 2015, assuring him they will mobilize Nigerians to support him. Meanwhile, Governor Kwankwaso has thanked the state APC stakeholders’ effort in mobilizing people across the nation to support his presidential aspiration in the 2015 general election. Meeting with them at the Kano Government House also on Wednesday, the governor said that most of the people he met at the APC Northwest rally in Sokoto told him that the message has reached them and they are in support of the aspiration. He therefore urged the stakeholders to continue to enlighten Nigerians until the APC wins the 2015 general elections. He also reiterated that he's still consulting on the 2015 presidential contest and will make his decision known to the general public very soon. SOURCE: SAHARAREPORTERS, NEW YORK 8 Likes

Ribadu isn't a politician. He has not been able to understand the political cycle of Nigeria. The very moment he opted for PDP has ruined his future political ambition... He has betrayed the trust many young Nigerians had in him. Many see him as one of the few credible figures that could lead and develop Nigeria. Take it or leave it, Ribadu's political career has been finished. 147 Likes |

APC will not leave Ribadu alone and for a good reason, he was one of the few shining lights in APC. Kwankwanso should concentrate on Kwankwasiyya, Ribadu is under the umbrella now. He can never lose with PDP, the least position he gets would be ambassadorial, with APC he'd remain in opposition for life. While most people expect Ribadu to be governor next year, Kwankwaso can always go back to selling suya in front of Aso rock. Ribadu will be the one making Kwankwanso a laughing stock next year. 71 Likes 2 Shares |

I wouldn't think so. Ribadu still retains his dignity, charisma and respect. He only made a poor choice which every man does once in a while. He'd come out stronger. Still a fan regardless. 14 Likes |

I think the arrangement the pdp has is that anybody tHat contests dis coming election won't vie next year so ribadu wanting to vie next year is d reason he was dropped. I also think ribadu in pdp is a bad move, not well played cos I dnt see dem giving him d ticket next year. Pdp don't honor promises and ribadu bn on d seat wld cause dem problem cos he has a nack for not bn loyal 12 Likes |

Ribaldu might be paying apc back, because of what they did to him, when he contested on their platform. He is not made a laughing stock, apc is about individual. He made the right choice, he will contribute to this country by being a member of pdp, even if he did not make it as the governor of Adamawa. 4 Likes |

I far as I'm concerned, Ribadu is one of those few individual in this country who has knack to the things right and he is a good example of a FOCUS man but he is never a 'politician' and he will never be one. What pisses me off about Kwankwanso comment is not about Ribadu but about APC vs PDP, it is crystal clear that pdp has failed us to some extent but why didn't he come out and tell us his own 'manisfesto' and how he can augment the success of pdp as well as work on their weakness rather than telling us the obvious (and this is peculiar to apc aspirants all over the federation). 4 Likes |
