engine oil viscosity are tested @ 2 temperatures, @ 0°c and @ 100°c, in SAE rating the lower temperature is denoted by W in multigrade oil, please note that the temperature in question is not the ambient temperature, but temperature of oil itself,the major wear in an engine takes place @ cold, so it's important to note the "W" spec of your engine.

The rate of engine failures currently is alarming and motorists are not smiling anymore. The Toyota brand has the highest rate of failed engines because the owners do not care much about the engine oils and so will put any oil in their engines.

Please advise your Toyota and Lexus people to always insist on the OEM Toyota Motor Oil. Those engines are crazily expensive to replace. Cheaper to buy the OEM Oils and protect your precious engines
