Depression leads to so many things including the most devastating one;suicide. When I watch american movies and see how their parents relate to their children, it amazes me and I get angry for being born here.
With the good treatment an average american child get's from his/her parent, there's still a probability of that child committing suicide cause of misunderstanding. For example, a child needs to hang around with friends at the house and the parents doesn't agree;the child get devastated leading to depression and if not forgotten quick, it might lead to aggressive display of annoyance and lead to something drastic.
In nigeria, our parents make decisions 4 everything we do and never mind about ours even if you had a better idea/reason.. If a parent doesn't like a child's approach to a subject;then he/she would explain better to the child and a reasonable child would see reasons to follow and nt to follow logically.
In nigeria its totally totalitarian our parents are practicing making a child feel very insecure with his/her own parents. When you disapprove everything a child does, don't you think that child would get into drastic thinking. When this goes on, the child get's depressed and thinks of a way to leave(alive or dead).
An appeal to our parents, study your child from birth and know what he/she wants!.... So far u can guide him/her through that part peacefully, there would no problem. No please study the world too, we are in the 21st century.
