Sarahn: Smh... there are more polite ways to tell someone they have a wrong point of view. been polite is a virtue. it wud make more sense if you don't jump to conclusion about others. |

kudoxs: Na 2day?! We take note of all the above mentioned errors yet we are still jobless. Abeg all it takes is the grace of God! A friend of mine is making 300k a month operating a game house infront of school after spilling for one year, actually he made more than two graduate assistance combined. Nigeria system of education is not the type that will make you productive and the country lack more diversify private sector that will provide the job. God is not the reason why we are unemployed or poor. The reason is just that we lack the capacity to think properly |

Good points. What can we do to the situation now, since our youths had seen lieing in their resume as packaging? |

getting a job depends on many factors: 1. the need in the industry (are you a right fit or are they looking for what you, in particular, have) 2. your connections (probably the most important factor these days) 3. your course of study 4. if the interviewer/employer wants to (or can) hire you. etc etc. all this resume this or that is just making conversation. its like getting a visa. |

Purfekt: 50,000 resumes in a week? That's a whole lot true talk. how many of those 50,000 will actually get positions even if their resumes are pixel perfect and written on diamond paper (maybe that would help though). |

PassingShot: The rebuttals are very apt. Most hiring managers look for stuupid reasons to reject a resume especially if the person is not connected. In the process, they leave out better qualified and competent candidates and end up with mediocre who have mastered the act of writing flawless CV only to discover later that they settled for the wrong persons. someone on nl once said he was passed over for a job in favour of a less qualified lady who the manager wanted to date. i think he got a better job elsewhere, eventually, cant remember the exact details. |
