I was actually waiting for this grin if you are a staff, please fix-up your services.

Thank God for your ability to read, oya come lets read it together. (See screenshot).

5 days is for Paper redemption, you can call their customer service to verify. If you are a staff, I am sure you know this already.

NB: Have a strong inbuilt bullshit detector. Never mistake an excuse with an explanation tongue

I think you are the person that lacked the understanding of what you just posted. It is clearly stated as the first point that redemption is within 5 business days.

Its not a crime to lack understanding at a point, remaining ignorant should be a crime.

If you read my later post, you would see where i stated something about placing a call to customer-care to seek clarification.

Sorry I just responded to your message immediately I saw it. I didn't mean it's an offence in anyway. I was just trying to point out that your were ignoring the first point in the screenshot which is very vital.

Kudos to you for dropping this. Kudos to our fund managers too for yet delivering yields above T-bills. MMFs are the best money market vehicles currently. Glad I'm in.

Is it better than the balance funds or fbn smart beta and other equities? Just asking to have an idea.

From Feb 1 to date, I don't think there's any equity fund in Nigeria that has returned half as much as the average MMF. As a matter of fact, most are trading at losses from their Jan end prices.

balanced funds are often a mix of bonds and equities. so I expect their performance to lag MMF still.

For bond funds, I am expecting them to have better performance than MMFs.

These are my views.

At a conservative rate of 10% per annum averagely, you will get 2500 naira.

Average rate: 10
Number of months in a year: 12
Amount: 100,000
months to calculate: 3

Dividend = {[(Average Rate/12)*months to calculate]%/100%}*amount invested

Dividend = {[(10/12)*3]%/100%}*100,000 = 2,500

Without a doubt the rates may vary from month to month but your final figure will be about that based on the present economic climate.
A month ago, I would have used 12% as the average rate.

Ok, what of if I decided to pay let say 10000 monthly into the mmf, how will the dividend be calculated every 3 months. Anybody in the house?

Let me use 12% because it's more straight forward, and still close to what most funds return.
You start with 100,000 and add 10,000 monthly,

Your first income would be 1,000 and it'll rise by 100 every month.

A very good morning.

I have been a silent follower of this thread and must say you are doing a nice job (wont mention the names of my ogas that i crush on grin )

I am a TB fan and would still be (we all know why), but now i have raised my risk level (up to stock market for my children sha tongue ).

I just opened my MMF account (Thanks to all of you regular contributors kiss ) I don break the yoke of my village that dont want me to make money.

Now to my question of the day... is weekend included in the daily interest paid? (saw an increment in my account this morning cool )

Hi chrysanthus07

https://fman.com.ng/ can guide you (I dont want to advertise for the Fund managers grin )

Also this was my guide when i was selecting with lots of advice on this thread. https://nairametrics.com/top-5-mutual-funds-in-nigeria-as-at-march-29-2018/

I hope this helps and also remember that "Past performers of all the Fund managers is not a guarantee for future performance" , but i think one thing is certain (based on my findings, I hope I am right) MMF returns higher rates than TB.

As much as you asked a straight forward question, i wont give you a straight forward answer but will just guide you as i have been guided by Gurus here and it will enable you to know well who you have chosen to manage your funds.

I would suggest you walk up to any of their branch, they will rectify it. You can as well call their customer care.
Also, try as much as possible to know your Account officer, you can get his or her mobile number and call when you have issues like this.

Hope this helps
