A resident of Fadan Karshi, a community in
Sanga Local Government Area of Kaduna State,
who survived the attack by gunmen on the
community recounts ordeal.
The gunmen attacked Fadan Karshi villages in
the late hours of Tuesday killing at least 50
people , injuring hundreds of other residents. One
of the eyewitnesses, Bitrus Solomon, said the
gunmen arrived at about 12 midnight and set
houses on fire.
“I was lucky I was not asleep,” said resident
Solomon. “And because my house is not close to
where they started burning and shooting, I
escaped into the bush.”
According to Mr. Solomon, those who could not
run where shot dead at the spot while others
were burnt in their homes. Apart from houses,
the gunmen set on fire a church and several
cars.
The gunmen all escaped after the attack.
However, investigation into the attack is already
ongoing to apprehend those gunmen.
Reacting to the incident on Wednesday,
September 17, Governor Ramalan Yero
condemned the attack, describing it as an
attempt by enemies of peace aimed at truncating
the ‘stable’ atmosphere in the State.
In a statement signed by his Director General of
Media and Publicity, Ahmed Maiyaki, the
governor said: “It is sad and unfortunate that
some devious characters from within the State
are conniving with unpatriotic elements from
outside to unleash unwarranted mayhem on
communities that were hitherto less vulnerable
to attacks.”
The governor called on the people of Sanga to
remain calm as security agencies have already
been directed to commence operations aimed at
restoring law and order in the area.

Mr. Governor, thanks for your condemnation of the evil act but we are satisfied.
For the discerning mind it won't be difficult for you know that all these attacks on middle belt is geared towards something big. These guys want to encircle plateau state which has been marked for total obliteration.
