INEC Charman Faults US Electoral System by smile4kenn(m): 7:05am On Nov 05, 2008 |
The Chairman of the Independent National Electoral Commission, Prof. Maurice Iwu, on Tuesday in Abuja faulted the United States of America’s election process. He asked the Americans to learn a lesson or two from Nigeria. Iwu, who was at the Presidential Villa for a meeting that was not disclosed to State House correspondents, described the Nigerian electoral system as better than that of the US. Asked to comment on the specific areas the US could learn from Nigeria, Iwu said the Americans should learn to keep a national voters’ register. He said that they should also learn to hold presidential election in one day rather than scatter it over several days, as they do in the case of early voting. “They should learn to keep a voters’ register and they should learn to hold elections in one day,’’ Iwu said as he hurried off, declining to make further comments. http://www.punchontheweb.com/Articl.aspx?theartic=Art20081105318566 |

And the results announced reflected the pattern of voting. Its a shame that this man remains unrepentant. I consider all the rubbish he vomited as rantings from a mindless, terribly biased umpire. He should go and bury his head in shame!! |

look you , I posted those satellite pictures to show Iwu that what he called Voter list are invisible manufactured names, That the whole world know they are telling a lie. If the USA can make history yesterday. I believe Nigeria can make history too by conducting a true election. Using correct census figure and not 419 made figures.
I know it is difficult for IWU and others to accept the truth, but if Iwu fail to accept the truth. I can tell you that even Iwu great grand children who would be Igbos would NEVER , I mean NEVER become the president of Nigeria.
And when I mean NEVER , I mean NEVER. This fraud they call voter register is killing the Igbos and would for ever make the igbos and other slave .
Iwu should know he is the man, who holds to knife to kill future generation of Igbo children. Would Iwu throw igbo children generation unborn into sea and kill them like they did in Biafra or because of pride and money or like Obama and the US make his mark and let history judge him.
They kill Igbo children and even generation unborn during biafra and I can tell you, Iwu is now the man to determine if he would hold the bomb and through it on Igboland and kill all of Igbo future generation .
Noman should blame other ethnics group in Nigeria if an igbo man never become president. They should blame themself. It is time to commit suicide or get killed. i have help the next generation of igbo reach my brother make una ask iwu to help you. |

It is also a chance for president Yar Adua to fight his opposition. You remember his Opposition claim they were strong in this area which satellite pictures show were few in population and election voter, they claim they won. If they got so much vote, where did the voters disappear too , Are this voter the sand that out number the houses. People live in houses if no houses how did the opposition win ? How did the governors get millions of vote or ANPP get millions. how?? I want to know. If I am Yar Adua I would cancel the census figure and ask for a new voters register. Same voter register, with IBB already running an AD in all pages in the newspaper. It shows you those invisible voters would vote for IBB in 2011 and Maryam would replace Turai in 2011., the way IBB men are doing it. Remember IBB(shehu Musa) was the brain behind the census fraud and Makama I can tell you works and support IBB in secret. Only IBB people knows the falsified name in the census figures, because they put it there in the first place and they would use it to kick Yar Adua out of govt. IBB sent Makama to reintroduce the census figure to Yar Adua at about the period of supreme court decision. or if they cancel the election. And all information links makama with IBB. IBB his set for is own history, he have been visiting world leader in the last few weeks. see saharareporters.com to confirm that http://www.saharareporters.com/ . Maryam IBB and her husband are planning to pull My own Turai and her husband out of ASO rock. remember IBB built ASO rock, he believe it is his properties and Turai and her husband are just tenant. |

It's no joke. He is very serious about it and how he conducted the best election in the world on behalf of PDP. I would have agreed with his reasoning if he complained that Obamas win is a triumph of thuggery over decency and the extent the world can go in subduing women. McCain's loss really broke my heart. @Nigeria1,Were you paid by somebody to spam our threads? |

I support Iwu, American system is flawed!!!
How can you allow people to stand in the sun for a long time just because they want to vote.
How can you allow people to spend so much money on campaigns!!!
How can you bring so much emotions into elections!!!
How can you waste so much time in deciding the president.
When you can simply sit in your office and write results for the populace.
When Ballot papers got to Enugu state at 6pm and the still had 2 million voters in 30 minutes.
When all the people that registered in Rivers State voted No one died, no one lost interest in voting and No one travelled.
Naija and Ewu rocks!!!!!!!~!~!~! |

Were you paid by somebody to spam our threads? Yes I was paid to spam this threads. by millions of igbo children yet unborn, who will not be able to say YES WE CAN. and also I got about $17 millions from millions of unborn Niger delta children. They promises me they would pay million when they start working if they come to this earth. And They can say I can be president or YES I can. |

Maurie Iwu is an Icon Of Shame. If he was my father, I'll disown him. Even if we were not related, and my last name was Iwu, I'll change it. If he was from my village I'll claim my mothers home town. If he was my neighbour, I'll sell my house. If i worked with him, i'll resign and start selling pure water. Its better to live alone in Siberia than be associated in anyway with Maurice Iwu. |
Re: INEC Charman Faults US Electoral System by Nigeria4: 4:17pm On Nov 07, 2008 |
look, I have access to 10 different satellite pictures collected by nearly all of nasa programs. this is not google earth. If Iwu knows what he is doing to the igbos, and see the pictures I have. He would change his mind in 1 second. I tell you with the new picture I have the Igbos would declear biafra in 24 hours if I post the pictures over the internet. But I do not want to.
The igbos have something they can not see.

Asked to comment on the specific areas the US could learn from Nigeria, Iwu said the Americans should learn to keep a national voters’ register.
He said that they should also learn to hold presidential election in one day rather than scatter it over several days, as they do in the case of early voting. just about TWO MONTHS AGO he was saying we adopt staggering of election Among the lessons learnt from the 2007 elections is the realization that Nigeria may do with staggered elections. As re-run elections and bye-elections have shown in more graphic form, elections are better conducted in smaller zones at a time. Presentation made by Professor Maurice M.Iwu, Honourable Chairman, Independent National Electoral Commission (Nigeria) at the 3rd Daily Graphic Governance Dialogue. Accra, Ghana. August 5, 2008The INEC chairman said that the legal framework for the conduct of elections must change, adding that the rules for electoral contest must be clear and known ahead of time. He said, “For the society to accommodate and often promote glaringly unwholesome values and inclinations in its citizens and social conducts and turn around to expect that its democracy will have a different texture is the worst form of delusion.” Iwu advocated for elections to be staggered, an arrangement that he observed would ensure better focus and optimal application of standards in the conduct of elections.
