[b]Agwu people, scourge and agony of a marginalized

Whip a child, allow him to cry, it is arguably his right. But spank him with an authoritarian restriction of lachrymose or agony outpouring is most unjust, inhuman and wicked, entirely reprehensible, in principle and practice. It has been a substantiated pitiable dilemma of Agwu people, politically overlooked and marginalized in all spheres and morals. Our circumstance is pitiably likened to that of a dog its master passed on; though it could recourse to the neighbor’s caboose or latrine for succor. Indigenes of Agwu are stigmatized and ostracized akin to an unfortunate man ravaged by Ebola and abandoned to his awful fate.

I have not ventured in this as unprejudiced Indigene of Agwu, rather a passionate and nationalist with radical perspective for equity, justice and equal representation. It is most disastrous that a people with dynamics elites like “Great Agwu” are severely subjected to awful fate of a common dog whose master passed away, a rummager.

If not, Let someone dispel a mammoth doubt and foul suspicion in my feeble mind, in the mind of every AGWU Indigene as to why an “Agwu person” is yet be named a commissioner, even as the existing Administration is at its last lap. Or rather correct my inaccurateness by giving answers to these critical questions? WHICH PARASTATAL IN ENUGU DOES AN AGWU PERSON HEAD? WHO FROM AGWU HAS SERVED IN THE CURRENT ADMINISTRATION AND IN WHAT CAPACITY? HOW MANY COMMISSIONERS ARE FROM AGWU, WHAT ARE THEIR NAMES? DOESN’T PRINCIPLE OF EQUITY DEMAND THAT APPOINTMENTS BE BASED EQUITABLY ON LOCAL GOVERNMENTS? WHY IS THE CASE OF AGWU PEOPLE DIFFERENT OR ARE WE NOT PART OF ENUGU STATE. These critical questions demands urgent answers indeed if this write-up and the clamor for justice and equity by the people of Agwu are mere unfounded distrust, sura’s and canticles of lachrymose outpouring as our renowned Prof Soyinka would have termed it.

I would equate our awful lot to that of the carnage, persecution of Israelites by Egyptians until God had through Moses intervened and salvaged the lot of the just. In whatever perspective you view it, it is but a conspicuous exploitation and disregard of the principles of equity, democracy and cohesion. It could also be termed a gross animosity or revulsion, selfish, despotism/tyranny by undemocratic machavialian’s that chosen to oppress and suppress for rationale egoism.

Even at the latter episodes of the extant administration. A potent plot of further disposing and yet marginalizing, a marginalized and exorcised people are all but set, to further impoverish and disperse Agwu into political wilderness and oblivion, denying a people of their profound democratic right and equal representation and involvement in governance of a state they form key part in, both in demography, culture, economy and population.

It is not ever a rumor, not anymore. Even as the NSUKKA clan are happily jostling to assume the seat of power at LION BUILDING ENUGU as Sullivan departs. The Agwu people are left hopeless, despondent and further relegated. The seat of DEPUTY GORVERNOR or SPEAKER would have been liberally offered to us from Agwu as the kingmakers has bestow and publicly declare preference for the Nsukka’s, the favored child been the person of Mr. Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi a member of the state house of assembly. For equity and justice an Agwu person ought to have been bestowed and anointed as a deputy as the seat are freely tossed to people like a widow toss to her hen’s chunk of sour yams.

Hatred, sheer dislike and distrust, or perhaps, ignoble egoism of retaining power or tyrannically opting for persons that will represent a self-interest and lone political ideology has marred the principle of equity and democracy, which in Enugu has relegated and portrayed in this context an Average AGWU person as an opponent to the state government. That notwithstanding, the government had further lobbied, in its desperateness, dishonest elements and hypocrites from Agwu in the name of NDI NZE. It is unjustifiable that a people with no single representation in an administration could, at a critical moment, at a time of sober reflection and necessity for urgent action as to change the awful acts opt to bestow aliens with “OFO” a sheer hypocrite song of allegiance from the outer lips. It is very nonsensical and shameful at least from my viewpoint, from the perspective of every indigene I have come in contact with, even the dumbest of all.

I sternly put this in writing as to explain to our people the urgent necessity for cohesion and solidarity, to support Agwu people that will bring succor, “deliver good governance and unprecedented democratic dividend” to the people. However, spirit of sportsmanship is paramount and the overall interest of Enugu as state supreme.

In the principle of Equity and democracy, an indigene of Agwu should be allowed to serve this state in the capacity of a Governor, deputy or speaker. Let there be a fair contest and equitable distribution of power. Posterity is watching, Omniscient God is watching.
Great people of Agwu, It is time to speak up, time to Act. Say no to marginalization!!!

Everything you wrote is correct except for your reference to "Awgu zone"
There is no such thing as Awgu zone, there has never been such a thing in Enugu politics. That's the hard truth. Enugu stands on a tripod: Nsukka, Nkanu and Udi (which includes Udi, Ezeagu, Awgu, Aninri and Oji River LGAs).
Awgu should struggle to emerge as the dominant political bloc from within Udi zone. They can easily achieve this by forming alliances with Aninri and Oji River. That will easily tilt the scale in their favor.

Why are u thanking him? I am from Isu Awa, we the people of Awgu are being neglected in the scheme of things in Enugu state, Awgu people comprises of Oji River, Awgu and Aninri, we are one and inseparable, This coming election all hands must be on desk to ensure that our Son Barr Ike Ekweremadu goes back to senate wether he is in pdp or he decamps to another party which I foresee, he is the only one that we have and it will be a battle to finish. Big shame to sullivan and his cohorts.
