Best Movie Villain/"bad Guy" by spikyn: 4:54pm On Nov 06, 2008 |
In the light of Heath Ledger turn as The Joker in The Dark Knight, he immediately jumped to the top of my favourite/best movie "baddies" alongside Auric Goldfinger and Hans Gruber. Who are yours? |

Re: Best Movie Villain/"bad Guy" by vescucci(m): 4:01pm On Nov 08, 2008 |
@Gamine I hope you mean Scara of Lion King cuz he was one bad mutha*bleep*bleep* Fancy that! A Spikyn thread. I loved The Joker along with everyone else but I think there was a flaw in his disposition: He's the only self-acclaimed nutjob I've ever heard of. The dude KNOWS he's crazy. |
Re: Best Movie Villain/"bad Guy" by Gamine(f): 4:10pm On Nov 08, 2008 |

Re: Best Movie Villain/"bad Guy" by spikedcylinder: 4:15pm On Nov 08, 2008 |
All I can seem to think of is that bloody eyed guy in Casino Royale. So bad his eyes emitted blood! |
Re: Best Movie Villain/"bad Guy" by vescucci(m): 5:30pm On Nov 08, 2008 |
@Gamine, you're just not diabolically inclined. You're like Dr. Carmen in House. M. D. minus the agnostic part though. |
Re: Best Movie Villain/"bad Guy" by Gamine(f): 6:00pm On Nov 08, 2008 |
Spike, @Vesc, Dr Carmen!!! no!!!!!!!!!! ok, ok I'm going to think of a Villain now err, err Sephiroth? |
Re: Best Movie Villain/"bad Guy" by ExInferis(m): 6:07pm On Nov 08, 2008 |
Darth Vader for crushing half a galaxy and raising an evil empire from the remains and that signature heavy breathing: "koh, koh" classic then theres kaiser soze. and T1000 in Terminator 2 |
Re: Best Movie Villain/"bad Guy" by Gamine(f): 6:19pm On Nov 08, 2008 |
How could i forget!!! Darth Vader was the first Villain, i truly loved but i had to dump. |
Re: Best Movie Villain/"bad Guy" by ExInferis(m): 7:49pm On Nov 08, 2008 |
to be honest though, Palpatine is responsible for erecting the Galactic Empire from the ruins of the Galactic republic, but he couldnt have done it without Vader. the trademark nazi style helmet and that infamous breathing have etched themselves in movie history as iconic as the lightsabers. and the line, "luke, im your father!". "Noooo" memorable, butt of many jokes and spinoffs. another nasty Villain: john Doe (kevin spacey) in Seven. @gamine hehe. funny emoticons, Elf. |
Re: Best Movie Villain/"bad Guy" by Gamine(f): 11:17am On Nov 09, 2008 |
Palpatine is definately a worthy Villain too, hes just But DARTH is da Hannibal, for sho Gollum, the most irritating Villain, but very villainous. Al Capone, you gotta love these Italians i talked with my brother about the Villains, T1000 is one of his best, The Terminator too, but im against Villains who become Heros Then AAH, Freddy Krueger!!!!!!!!!, Nightmare on Elms Street, UNGLY villain, chei, chilled my bones then o but when i see the effects now This was Johnny Depp's first feature film i can still remember how he was killed, but he was unknown, who would have thought . . . . . . As for Villainesses, lol The Witch in Snow White and the White Witch, The lion , the witch and the wardrobe, loved her style |

Re: Best Movie Villain/"bad Guy" by ExInferis(m): 9:31am On Nov 10, 2008 |
Raymond88: huh? Doc Evil is just a parody of all the evil men of movie history. i think humor doesnt count in evilness. |

Re: Best Movie Villain/"bad Guy" by texazzpete(m): 2:25pm On Nov 10, 2008 |
Sylar from Heroes Season 1 was definitely creepy. Pity the turn the writing took in Season 3 |
Re: Best Movie Villain/"bad Guy" by vescucci(m): 3:00pm On Nov 10, 2008 |
Sephiroth did like a cameo apperance but his reputation preceded him. Darth Vader is a cult bad guy. iice reminded me of Gary Oldman's character in The Professional or Leon. Bale in American Psycho, was it Bale? Russell Crowe was really crazy in Virtuosity. The film was terrible though. |
Re: Best Movie Villain/"bad Guy" by Gaminechic: 7:13pm On Nov 10, 2008 |
@Texazz, Chei, err. . . Movie, the Topic said, and Heroes is well err. . . . . @Vesc Yeah Bale it is. |
Re: Best Movie Villain/"bad Guy" by ExInferis(m): 12:30am On Nov 11, 2008 |
@vesc cult bad guy? what does that even mean? sephiroth isnt that memorable a bad guy. and russell crowe in virtuosity feels ill-fit for the meanie role. |
Re: Best Movie Villain/"bad Guy" by spikedcylinder: 11:27am On Nov 12, 2008 |
Jeremy Irons is always playing bad bad people. |
Re: Best Movie Villain/"bad Guy" by vescucci(m): 1:01pm On Nov 12, 2008 |
@Ex, I meant Darth has an occult following. Sephiroth only showe up for a fight scene in the Final Fantasy installation but there was a lot of talk before then. What gave me the chills about Crowe is exactly what you pointed out. He's very unseemly but obviously evil. He had a gentle face but a crazy demeanour like in Omen. Nothing scares me more than those Omen films. |
Re: Best Movie Villain/"bad Guy" by Gaminechic: 3:16pm On Nov 12, 2008 |
Occult |
Re: Best Movie Villain/"bad Guy" by kevd2: 5:13pm On Nov 12, 2008 |
here's a list of bad guy's every movie goer must see. 1- Hannibal Lecter (Silence of the Lambs) - Simply the best,he eats brains for fun. 2- Verbal Kint /Keyzer Soze ( The Usual Suspects)- mere mention of his name evinces fear. 3- Amon Goeth ( Schindler's List)- the most sadistic person i have ever seen. 4- Antoine Chigurh (No country for Old Men) - A complete psycho, sees kiling as a natural way to end a conversation. 5- Bill the Butcher ( Gangs of New York)- A Man of Hypocritical and discriminatory wickedness. 6- John Doe ( Se7en)- uses the seven deadly sins to wreak havoc. 7- Max Cady ( Cape Fear)-- Robert De Niro at his best. 8- Commodus (Gladiator) -- wicked Coward. 9-Joker (Dark Knight)- Heath ledger's rendition of joker is inspiring. 10-Jack Torrence (The shining) - Jack Nicholson's character of a possesed Hotel manager is Scary. 11- Michael Corleone ( Godfather) - this is the most ruthless Mafia boss ever. 12-Alonzo Harris (Training Day)- the most Corrupt cop ever |
Re: Best Movie Villain/"bad Guy" by iice(f): 5:55pm On Nov 12, 2008 |
I liked the old omen movies I especially liked sam neill ok that's scary but hey |
Re: Best Movie Villain/"bad Guy" by spikyn: 6:25pm On Nov 12, 2008 |
@kev-d: Amon Goeth definitely goes into the upper echelo(o)ns of evil. I'm sad I missed him first time around. @vesc: did you really think Virtuosity was that bad? Palpitine for me is as funny as Dr. Evil, maybe it was the campy way in which he was portrayed. I can get a baddie feeling evil but what gets me is baddies who think they are good or right or like the Joker said ', ahead of the curve'. Now that's truly worrying. D'you guys remember the scene in Goldfinger where Auric and Bond were sitting outside his ranch-house drinking mint julep and Bond felt he'd figured out Goldfinger's plan and was being smug about it till he finally "gets" it and then he goes like, 'I apologise Goldfinger, '? The smile on Auric's face was more that worth it. Now that's evil. @Tex: I said movie but it's all good. I think Sylar from Season 1 would be scary to meet sha. |
Re: Best Movie Villain/"bad Guy" by vescucci(m): 2:14pm On Nov 13, 2008 |
@kev_d. I agree with all your choices except 8, 11 and 12. I agree with Spikyn about Amon Goeth. That guy wakes up in the morning and looks out for a slacking prisoner and trains his rifle on him/her and shoots the poor culprit dead. I read the book. I don't know which character is more chilling. @Gamine. I didn't mean occult occult but occult as in a fellowship of some sort. @Spikyn, I just didn't connect with the film, that's all. Though it's been a very long time I saw the movie. |
Re: Best Movie Villain/"bad Guy" by Gaminechic: 8:10pm On Nov 13, 2008 |

Re: Best Movie Villain/"bad Guy" by rikkyjen(m): 11:59pm On Nov 13, 2008 |
It would have to be Denzel Washignton's "Alonzo Harris" portrayal in Training Day! |
