If you are like me then you will at this time be deeply concerned about what Mrs. Sarah Palin can do to occupy herself in the future, as she sinks back into well-deserved obscurity now that she has been identified as one of the primary reasons that John Mcain lost the US presidential election to Barak Obama.

Since Mrs. Palin is the mother of several dozen children and a certified gun nut who is prone to creative accounting with government money, as well as the flagrant abuse of power as evidenced by her sacking of an Alaskan police officer who jilted Sarah's sister, it just occurred to me that this semi-educated bush-woman would be the PERFECT candidate for a post in Nigerian politics.

Regardless of how Sarah Palin is perceived, she at least deserves praise for being bold enough to open her mouth and make crowds of the faithful cheer hysterically, even though the words emanating from her lipstick-on-a-pig orifice did little more than illustrate Mrs. Palin's profound ignorance on all subjects of political relevance except perhaps the details about Alaska's hunting season.     Now THAT is the sort of public office holder that Nigeria needs, and I am thus honored to announce the commencement of a NEW campaign to get Mrs. Palin, along with her horde of children and illegitimate grand-children, over to Nigeria, so that she can run for office as Federal Minster of Modalities, a lucrative post that will be blessed with unlimited funding from Nigeria's Petroleum Trust Fund.

Please let us join our efforts towards this noble and patriotic new initiative to save Mrs. Palin from fading into insignificance, so that she can save Nigeria by entertaining the electorate with empty, rabble-rousing speeches whenever the occasion arises.

KJ if you are not prepared to publicly endorse this initiative, can we at least count on you for a flurry of secret cash donations towards the realisation of this patriotic objective ?

I still feel you need to get over it already. The elections are over!! She was able to make it as governor before the cameras. I am sure she can take care of her own even after all the lights are out. Not exactly sure why you continue to yap on about the woman now. Let her deal with her situation as she chooses. Even as a "fool" she was able to make governor, what makes you think she suddenly needs you to campaign for her? Let it go already!
Re: Sarah Palin Needs A Job by SisiJinx: 7:22am On Nov 09, 2008
Hold up. . . this isn't a joke? You mean there is a real honest to goodness campaign to get to Palin elected in Nigeria?

I don't get it ooooooh.

Silly me.  You know I forgot to address the silent question that is undoubtedly fueling your skepticism.

Yes, KJ, Nigeria DOES have an abundance of hunting opportunities, and to show my sincerity, I have contacted the Nigerian Aviation Ministry to extract a pledge that a helicopter with door-mounted 50-caliber machinegun shall be parked at Yankari Game Reserve on standby whenever Minister Palin gets the urge to blast a few elephants and lions while she is on official tours in that part of the country.

With these measures already undertaken, I know we are on the same page fer sure.   Just let us know when you have that change of heart, ok ?

Jinkx, your first assumption was the right one, sadly.

In Anchorage Russia oops Alaska?. That woman will remain a nightmare to McCain till he dies. I think it is easier for the republicans to accept their flawed judgment in picking that woman as a veepee candidate.

Well, you are entitled to your opinion when it comes to reason why McCain lost but I do hope you know an Opinion if far from being a fact in this case or anyother. I know it is customary to presume we have it all figured out for others but trust me, this is not the first time McCain has lost an election and certainly not a presidential election. VP or not, we will never really know why he lost, so my point about letting go and facing the quagmire in our own lives and the economy as a whole that we created still stands. The bullying was sort of excusable during the elections. Now that that is over, it's just immature.
Re: Sarah Palin Needs A Job by Jakumo(m): 4:35pm On Nov 09, 2008
Considering that this Palin woman was within one rigged election of becoming Vice President of the USA, in the same way that George Bush was rigged into power over Al Gore eight years ago, I see nothing wrong in celebrating her epic electoral failure, while also noting her penchant for abuse of office, financial sleight-of-hand, and of course her spectacular lack of qualifications for any job more complicated than the assembly-line inclusion of plastic toys in cereal boxes, even if such a delightful autopsy upsets those who up till election night were on the edge of their seats hoping this ignoramus bushmeat from Alaska would get elected to a position that would place her within ONE HEARTBEAT of becoming America's president.

Ah well. Sarah Palin can spend the next few years refining her foreign policy skills by peering through binoculars at the Russion landmass, assuming, of course, that she declines to accept this plum job as Nigeria's Minister of Modalities, a development that would truly break my heart, considering the time and effort I have already invested to secure this post for her.

Hey!! You are free to celebrate. . . I will stay away till when you are done cause I just do not understand why people feel to need for such. Happy celebrations!
Re: Sarah Palin Needs A Job by Jakumo(m): 4:54pm On Nov 09, 2008
Good to see you in a lighter mood, KJ. I was getting worried there for a bit. I'll try and think up a few more Nigerianisms IF you will now please raise your glass in a toast to Obama.
Re: Sarah Palin Needs A Job by Kobojunkie: 5:04pm On Nov 09, 2008
Hey!! His Victory is his, in my opinion and so I congratulate him for setting a goal for himself, and achieving it.

Don't necessarily think I would celebrate his victoryas if it were mind since I believe it has absolutely nothing to do with me, and do not think it has anything to do with any of the other people pouring out champagne out there. I would however say, we all ask what we have accomplished in our own lives. Does celebrating another's victory make our own lives more meaningful? Does it mean all the problems in your own life, and communities are all suddenly gone? I am sorry but when it comes to celebrating someone elses victory as if it were mine, I choose to become a sadist so I can better understand the why to this. You would have to explain to me why I should celebrate Obama's life accomplishments with you.
Re: Sarah Palin Needs A Job by Jakumo(m): 6:44pm On Nov 09, 2008
Senator Mcain is physically infirm and nearly as clueless about current global events as is Mrs. Palin.     As US economists bicker over the semantics of whether America is in a recession or on the brink of a depression, multi-millionaire property owner Mcain declared that the US economy is "fundamentally strong", to campaign audiences that included a fair number of folks who had recently lost their jobs.  With the Republican boat listing hard and taking on water due to that and several other public gaffes by Mcain, the slapstick comedy duo was completed with that tragic selection of Sarah Palin as his VP running mate.

If by hook or crook McCain and Palin had won America's presidential election, the country would have found itself under the "leadership" of a feeble old Raeganesque war-monger who would likely have keeled over from his Viet-Nam war wounds before completing his first term, only to be replaced by his VP, Mrs. Sarah shoot-'em-up Palin, who, during this last campaign, is on record as having solemnly equated her ability to spot Russian terrain from the Alaskan shoreline with foreign relations experience worthy of mention.

America deserves better than what the Mcain/ Palin ticket could ever have offered, and Obama was the fireman who responded to a national emergency by offering a sane alternative to an American populace fed up with seeing their young return home in body-bags from wars in distant lands, and who rightly anticipated little change with the Republicans still in power.

Obama's election is a victory for world peace over militaristic jingoism.  It is also of course victory for the black race, in that America, the nation that once imported black people in the holds of ships as commodities, has now taken the boldest step ever to right the wrongs of its history by electing the son of an African immigrant to the highest office there is - President of the United States of America.  Yes sir indeed, I celebrate this Obama victory with a joyous heart, for I know now that all those who sacrificed their liberty and lives in the quest for racial equality in America did NOT do so in vain.
