Magistrate M. K. Aluko, who gave the judgement, convicted Ademola, who was arraigned before the court for theft contrary to section 287 of penal code law.

The convict was charged for snatching H.T.C handset valued at N54, 000 belonging to one Ameenat Issah of No. 94, Edun street, Ilorin, Kwara state.

According to the Police First Information Report (FIR), the victim (Ameenat Issah) had reported at SARS office, Ilorin alleging that the convict snatched her handset while on her way from a friend’s place.
