[UPDATE] The court has stopped the bye-election in the state and ordered the swearing-in of Ngilari. Details later… —————————————————————– A Federal High Court in Abuja is delivering judgment in a suit filed by a former Deputy Governor of Adamawa State, Mr. Bala Ngilari, urging the court to declare his resignation from office on July 15, 2014, invalid, null and void. Among the issues the court, presided over by Justice Adeniyi Ademola, is to determine is whether or not to order Ngilari be sworn in as the governor of the state. Justice Ademola is also to determine whether or not to stop the bye-election slated for Saturday. source: WWW.punchng.com |
