Pls nairalanders does anyone has an idea of d market circumstances in Port Harcourt I.e. If some kinda union(s) may cause some bottle necks, coz I wanna do it jointly with a friend n broda who is yet to bemobilized 4 NYSC and he's more or less idle 4 nw.

Guy nothing like that oooo.... I have customers coming from Ph to benue to yams in large quantity like 3000tubers of yams @once and then wire it down on big truck to port harcourt. all u pay is the truck fee,on-loading fee and off-loading fee when it gets to ur destination

Now a courch or space is always being charged like 30,000 to 35,000naira or more than depending on the driver, so with this the price of one single yams for transportation is being calculated. So if yours is 200tubers in a courch u get ur transport charge by mutiplying the the amount gotten for transportation of one yam with your number of yams.

After this you then pay uploading fee into the truck from benue and then offloading fee when it gets to your destination like 600 to 1000naira each so all these leads to the 4k ooooo

So most times the size of your yams is not really a determining factors
That 4k is just the maximum transport price for every 100tubers.

Post-harvest management
Apply the same treatment as before planting (described
above).
After drying, transfer tubers to yam barns. Place each bag
on the shelves (avoid compact storage) for 4 to 6 weeks.
Transfer bags to yam store (temperature = 18–20°C, i.e. in a
dry cool area) for conservation for 3 to 4 months.
During storage, check yam germplasm weekly (look for
rotting, insect and rodent damage etc.).
Monitor sprouts until follow-on dormancy break.

@Willyede's tuber of yams (100pcs) is already on the way to "Rivers State" and the exact picture of the truck,plate number and contacts on how to receive the goods as already been communicated to him via whatsapp. Portharcourt to be precise, I wish everyone on board safe trip to Ph (destination location= "Not disclosed" .

A lot of people from all part of Nigeria, Anambra, Enugu, Bayelsa, Ph, Warri and Even Kano trooped in into the "UGBA" and "ZAKI-BIAM" yam market and believe me as @thursday 4pm the whole of the tubers of yams were cleared. The farmers all finished their yams because of heavy patronage. Next week is another sure "Big Deal"

I think its better I make some good clarification here but before I go to that I will like to hail the courage of those who took this info as serious as possible by either placing their order with me or traveling down to Benue State themselves to ascertain all my claims and also buying heavily direct from farmers in Ugba Yam Market, Zaki-Biam Yam Market. Because the level of buyers in the market last wednesday was alarming, cos as at thursday afternoon by 1pm,every yam shed was empty meaning high purchase were made in which I'm super sure the farmers would also be extremely happy they sold all their product at once.

Now back to what I felt I need to clarify, some set of people have been calling my line on how I make my profit even @ those cheap price? Well my answer is simple... I do not collect those cash of yours for profit sake but to first make sure I get for you the exact size u requested for and if at d end of the day I don't get any change its not problem and if I do glory be to God.
