Experts in the house, please suggest possible line ups in an Amodu SE formation. Thanks. |

LeoSanchez:Unfortunately, U won't get to select the team so ur wish of Mikel coming in as a sub can not come true. Haters of Mikel can go and get a foreign coach and they will still be disappointed that he will still be oyinbo's choice in the midfield 1 Like |

emmasege:yea dats true. I have to admit he is slow but he also have quality. Others may replace him but they wont have the quality he have.. Add speed to mikel and u will have someone diffrent.. His lack of speed made him unique. I guess its the only reason he is still in chelsea. |

hunter21: I like Ogbuke, but he's not really delivered in the SE jersey on a consistent basis. He needs to up his game in the SE. |

Amodu is known to play with 4 df and 3dms. so don't expect us to suddenly turn into brazil under him. |

We don't know how his 1st XI would look like. But I don't think he'll make a lot of changes to keshi's squad, since he'll only be in charge for just 2 games. Expect the core players of keshi's team to remain. Don't think he'll make up to 8 changes to the 24 keshi invited for the sudan games. Uche was his main man during his last stint. So i expect a return of uche, obasi, and probably yussuf ayila/martins. Would be interesting to see the new players he'll invite. |

edi287: What has Portugal won lately? I saw them at the World Cup and they were awful, and had a first round exit. Nigeria performed better than them. People like you (and perhaps Ilori) need to cure yourselves of inferiority complex. 3 Likes |

ROSSIKE:True, but lets not pretend that Nigeria would've done better in that group. Having to choose between playing with the likes of cr7 or having to squabble over match bonuses and allowances every single international tourney is pretty straightforward if you ask me. |
Re: Amodu's First Eleven - What Would It Look Like? by Nobody: 6:11pm On Oct 17, 2014 |
edi287:You have no clue how Nigeria would have done! People like you lose the match before you've stepped on the field because of inferiority complex. Having to choose between playing with the likes of cr7 or having to squabble over match bonuses and allowances every single international tourney is pretty straightforward if you ask me. False comparison. You highlight the best of Portugal and juxtapose with the worst of Nigeria. Get rid of your complex. |

Amodu used a 4-4-2 mostly with Uche and Yakubu upfront,Mikel and Ayila/olofinjana in d middle. Kalu uche and Utaka/odemwingie as the wingers. Don't know wether he'll still use the same formation.During his last stint Amodu's team was good defensively. They conceeded few. Amodu's midfield wasn't so good. He was once quoted saying "the midfield doesn't matter". Thats why the 2 midfielders in his 442 were always strictly defensive(olofinjana, ayila, and sometimes mikel). He hardly played with an attacking midfielder. Prolly d reason for his good defensive record. Attacking-wise,same way his team conceeded few was also the same way his team scored few. MAJORITY of his wins were 1-0,2-0. Keshi's team wasn't any better at scoring goals though. Would amodu still use his same ol tactics ?. Football generally has been evolving constantly since amodu was coach last. Don't know if amodu has also evolved tactically. |

ROSSIKE: Name one Nigerian player who he'd say is the reason for him to choose Nigeria over Portugal?? Unless we have a WC coach who can convince him, my point earlier would be a valid reason to drive him away from having anything to do with us. |
Re: Amodu's First Eleven - What Would It Look Like? by Nobody: 6:25pm On Oct 17, 2014 |
edi287: Name one thing Portugal has won (or look likely to win) for him to say it is the reason he wants to choose Portugal over Nigeria. |
