That's because they aren't the mobile version...it's the full chip ..it's badass.. they no longer carry the M suffix.

Can't give up my monitor for laptop sized monitor though...

Monitors aren't a problem for laptops wen there's hdmi. The only place problem fit dey is wen u wanna use mouse and keyboard.

Persinally tho i prefer smaller monitors

Back to your question, will it play, YES. will you have to sacrifice image quality for playable framerates YES. Can you run games with medium to high settings NO. You only have 2GB dedicated. Don't get it mixed up with 6GB shared memory. Shared memory is much slower than dedicated.

"very high settings "on my gpu uses 2.3gb on gta v. if he has 2gb dedicated....on med to hi settings, his ram will not be his bottleneck

The only 2gb nvidia gpu I've seen on the street that is "cheap" is zotac gt 620, if you stay in abj check Happiness computers zone 3 complex...
Im guessing you are contented with old games and not ready to play recent game titles yet though...

6gb ram
And a63430mx apu with 2 radon graphics ( radon HD 7690m and radon HD 6520g) @ 1.70ghz
Total available graphics memory is 4gb
Dedicated video memory is 1.5gb

Runs pes16 flawlessly

But considering its a farly used laptop which runs on AMD is it advisable for gaming?
