I think South Africa is a 2nd world country. I might be wrong though.

South Africa is considered a developing country.

level pass level, just like we have first, second and third class citizens or in the other way, e.g. lower, middle and upper class. south africa is in the middle. so u can call them second world nation. apart from amenities or money, we should consider the institutions, police and democratical processs. they are better than nigeria.

It's a sort of Ist degree third world country like Brazil and China.
