Nigeria is at the threshold of an important year. 2015 is an important year in Nigeria. More so, our democracy.
2015 marks the end of one republic since the return of democracy in Nigeria and importantly, the beginning of another, a new strata and mantle for leadership.

Across the country and in Akwa Ibom State in particular, there have been varied and vested interests and aspirations. Uyo Senatorial District, for instance, has seen a case of people calling for human capital motivated leadership from all aspirants asking to represent the district in the 2015 general elections. It is a case of people making efforts to move away from status quo. Their reason: Stomach Infrastructure, though necessary, cannot outlive it taste per material time. That is why, to the people of Uyo Senatorial District, resident in Abuja, Prince Nsikak Okon commands their supports and endorsement.

In a grand reception on 15 October to honor their illustrious Prince and amiable business tycoon, the people of Akwa Ibom State residents in Abuja unanimously endorsed the Senatorial ambition of Prince Nsikak Okon on the grounds of merit, proven track record, business acumen and negotiation prowess that they believe will work in their favour in the next Senate of the Federal Republic of Nigeria.
Speaker further, the President and Convener of the assembly, Akparawa Tony Okon, maintained that Prince Okon’s many successes on life-touching ventures informed their decision to pitch their tent with him. He said his group painstakingly considered all aspirants running for ticket to represent the district and found Prince Okon the most merited, based on credible and incorruptible records of the businessman at their disposal. He argued that the businessman has the veracity to negotiate and draw Federal interest as well as win them life-changing votes on the floor of the red chambers.

He described the businessman as selfless, citing many scholarships and people-oriented project initiated by Prince Okon through his foundation. He told the session that Nsikak Okon resides in Abuja and was well aware of the intricate nature of the politics in the Capital.
On his part, the Secretary of the group said that Prince Okon is blessed with exceptional developmental goals and a winning agenda. He added that Prince Okon is a grassrooter, saying it was what informed his appointment as Strategic Leader, Grassroots Youth Movement for Late President Umaru Musa Yar’adua and also Akwa Ibom State Co-ordinator, Neighbough2Neighbour Initiative.
In his reaction, Prince Okon while commending the people for their overwhelming support, promised them freshness in approach to Legislative business as it concerns Uyo Senatorial District, Akwa Ibom State and Nigeria. He further assured them of his total commitment to the people, while promising more people-oriented schemes and effective representation. He frowned at the engagement deficits suffered by Akwa Ibom State at Directorate level, promising to liaise with the State Government to redress the trend, support women, as well as youths in area of job creation. He also assured on collaboration with Akwa Ibom indigenes in the diaspora who are bosses in their own right to bring meaningful impressions to the State.

Cheap propaganda, the Abuja community have been receiving all the aspirant that want to meet with them. I was there on sunday when they hosted Helen Esuene first and Umana Okon Umana latter. If Okon has gone to meet them he is just adding to the purse of the community. Those guys are picking enough from all the contestant.
