Ms. Floxy Alaneme put the question delicately: Do You Like Tribal Marks?

I re-framed the question sharply: Are Facial Tribal Marks Beautiful or "Beastiful?" Facial Marks (popularly called Tribal Marks) were the earliest form of human body-art. Tribal marks were to Ancient Cultures what piercings, body-art and tattoos are to us today. Tribal marks do NOT signify evil, punishment or primitivity. Rather, they are societal maps, cultural trails and body signatures attesting to tastes and necessities of early civilizations.

WERE TRIBAL MARKS NECESSARY?

From the moment humans first looked into pools of water and saw their individual reflections to the invention of mirrors, and beyond, humans have endlessly invested effort and art in pursuit of community validation of each individual's beauty, AND in pressuring individuals to conform to community definitions and standards of beauty. Tribal marks were the early symbols of cultural validation. As such facial tribal marks HAD great aesthetic value for individuals and ID significance for communities.

ARE TRIBAL MARKS STILL RELEVANT?

Human cultural taste changes. Even before the 21st Century tribal marks were already losing personal aesthetic value and symbolic value for community ID. They are no longer beautiful. Now, they are viewed as "BEASTIFUL" marks. Tribal marks set children apart for mockery, social stigmatization and lifelong trauma. IF YOU VALUE THE MENTAL HEALTH/FUTURE OF YOUR KIDS and those of younger members of your extended family YOU MUST HELP PUT AN END to facial tribal markings. Cultural practices don't just disappear. When you travel home or call home you must forcefully educate/persuade your people to stop it.

Today, such markings are totally useless but socially devastating.
