You cast out demons by the word of your mouth by faith in Jesus Christ. But there is NOTHING wrong with a pastor reading the bible from the iPad. Before books were developed, they used scrolls. So iPads,bibles,scrolls are just tools/containers for the Word of God. May be if Christ tarried 100 years we will be having something else may be hologram.

Who told you it's the Bible that casts out demons? If you believe so, then you may be placing your faith on the container instead of the content, and that may smack of a little, "innocent" idolatry.

You cast out demons by authority and faith you have in Christ Jesus. Read Mark 16:16-18; 9:29, Ephesians 6:17. Casting out demons requires faith, prayer, fasting and commanding in the Name of the Word of GOD, Jesus Christ.

Remember the scriptures that the ancient people used were written in stones and scrolls, and other ancient technologies? If you think the use of e-Bible is wrong, then what do you think Moses will say if he comes back to life and sees that people now read the scriptures on paper instead of on stone? I tell you, if the Internet was available during their time, they would utilized it in the spread of the Good News.

In all things, our condition of heart and relationship with GOD is paramount. If you use an electronic gadget to read the Bible as a way of showing off, then that is condemnation. If you read the physical Bible in order to deceive and make people think you are pious, that is still condemnation.

Stone is technology.
Scroll is technology.
Paper is technology.
e-Book is technology.

I want to add that digital Bible is easier to use, although a physical Bible may tend to give a more psychological connection. Most importantly, it is your faith and mastery of the Word that matters.

Finally, I have a question for you. Is wearing of clothes a sin, since God gave Adam and Eve animal skin to wear? Don't you think we should be wearing animal hides in order to be right with GOD?

If a person visits porn sites on their tablets, they will still visit porn sites even if they use a physical Bible, so condemn the action of the individual who refuses to let the Spirit lead them; don't victimize e-Bible. It is not e-Bible that casues the individual's depravity.

As a Christian, you shouldn't have unwholesome items on your device in the first place, so you cannot consider e-Bible inappropriate because of the potentiality of porn. Is a person who reads the physical Bible, but watches porn movies at home better? When they come home, would they not place the Bible in the same room as their porn movies discs?
