Deciding A Child's Sexual Orientation? by smartmom(f): 10:56am On Oct 20, 2014
I am perplexed by a parent's decision to plait a young boy's hair to school. I recently wondered till I got a close up on the said child in my kids primary school if it was a girl was being dressed as a boy ie maybe a tomboy, until my son told me he and his classmates asked him if he was a girl or a boy. The boy answered with a grin, 'I am a boy girl'

Now I am wondering if the parents are being fair to that child.

What is your opinion parents?

It's all in a bid to copy the whites

When he turns out to be gay tomorrow, the same parents would start crying foul, saying village witches are at work

We reap what we sow

They would say he was born that way.

And blame God for creating him that way.

How does plaiting a boy hair turn him gay?

You still need to learn a lot about hormornes and psychology.

Lol! Okay. Can you answer this question?

What would you say in a case of masculine male turning out to be gay while effiminate is straight.

Or

A female tomboy being straight while a pure feminine own being a lesbian?

shocked In as much as I don't discriminate people by their orientation, it is the silliest thing for anyone or parent to push what is not on their kid. hian

Today's world can be a strange place. I remember growing up how my older cousins would paint my face, put clip on earrings on my ears and tie a head scarf on my head. We'd all laugh about how beautiful I looked. Same thing with some of my neighbours, we never had a feeling that our sexuality was in doubt. I was simply a boy wearing girly things. This days the hypersensitivity to what constitutes a person's sexuality must be seeping into kids and causing havoc. I pray such kids do not destroy themselves in the name of exploring sexuality.

So true. Experimenting kids we even blame, how about experimenting parents? I just wonder. Because for this boy its a permanent thing o, not just a one off thing angry Messing up the poor boy's mind

I agree with you. It's silly for parents to be dressing a male child like female and vice-versa.

Again, dressing doesn't influence hormone.

No it doesn't, true. But it affects the child's psyche and identity. Bad honestly

But, a male plaiting hair doesn't depict feminity like OP stated.

It's more of a masculine characteristics except when he cross dress or putting on makeup.

By the way, are we gonna classify footballers and musicians that plait hair as Sissy?

did you read where the boy was asked to identify his gender and he responded "boy girl"?
that innocent boy is already "cross dressing" his mind. Its beyond the braids thingy

Oh I see!

That's another form of gayism. Tranvestite.

Lord have mercy.

Spot on my dear. THAT is the whole point! Besides, it is not even fine trendy kind of braids or weaving o! and the boy does have effeminate looks to the boot. I thought he was a slight fair tomboyish girl till my kid corrected me.His school mates already see him as queer. I think it is unfair on the poor.

If the boy is effiminate, it's not his fault nau.

I thought he was the one trying so hard to possess feminine characteristics.

God created him that way or do you think the little kid deviated from being masculine?

Its certainly NOT his fault but its the parent's fault to dress him up or play up on his looks. I do not blame the boy at all.

My 1st son and last boy look alot like me meaning they may look ''pretty' to some people but I am never going to play up on that. Matter of fact, I watch out for any pervert who dares to prey on them. I may have wanted to have a daughter to dote on for a long time(eventually got a daughter though) but nothing will make me turn my boys into sissys

Oh. I get.

Even me, I grew up among my female cousins with no male(the male ones didn't mingle with me because they were already matured/old) and I was having a feminine characteristics in my mode of talking and walking.

But, I was reminded that I'm not a female. I'd to do everything to stop acting like that because I always feel disgusted seeing a sissy.

Lol! Today my voice doesn't sound a bit like female(it har masculine bazz). I stopped walking like them too, even though a slight movement can be found but not glaring.
