Just one week after assuming office as Ekiti state governor, Ayo Fayose Wednesday began what many have alleged to be a crack down on opposition politicians in the state. This allegation is based on the shut down a petrol station belonging to the Ekiti state House of Assembly speaker, Dr Adewale Omirin, and a few others on Wednesday. The reason given by the Government is that the fuel stations posed environmental hazard to where they were located.
