Jazakumullah Khairan brother Sino, nice piece of literary work, may Allah(Subhanahu Wa Ta'ala) reward you abundantly.

sino:
For man seeks the world beyond, And man looks forward to the worlds end
Man deems himself self-sufficient
Seeking immortality, forever living…
Only time will tell….
This part of your poem reminders me of Yusuf Islam's 'God's Light',

Yet, how many times he's tried,
Himself to immortalise?
Like his parents before him in the Garden of Eden

Questions…

Indeed, the battle is between truth and falsehood

The good and the evil

The light and darkness

The life and death...

But when asked, how equipped are you?

Do you careless and be oblivious of your responsibilities?
Or do you know yourself to be the righteous, others, sinful calamities?
Or do you seek knowledge, day and night, from the righteous and kind with studious capacities?

And if asked, where do you stand when the world boils?

Do you become frightened, and act based on whatever comes to mind?
Or you take laws into your own hands, being the judge and jury, to others view, blind?
Or you analyze issues objectively, with knowledge and example from the best of mankind?

And when asked, who are you and what is your purpose?

Do you say you know not, you are just a person without purpose?
Or you say you are the truth and others are the falsehood that must be disposed?
Or you say, Allah (SWT) is the Good, the Truth, the Light and the Life of the worlds, and I am just but a Muslim, one who submits with a true purpose.

Allah made man out of clay
so he could pray 5 times a day.
To work and eat with his own hands
and spread Islam throughout the
lands.
His voice to do zikr and call out
Azaan.
His life devoted to the holy Quran.
The prophet an example for him to
follow
and all other ways he refuses to
swallow.
Everyday involved in learning and
teaching.
Truth and justice he must go on
preaching.
Until one day he breathes his last
and is called to account for deeds of
the past.

The song of Isa ibn Mariyam (AS)

My meal is fasting,

My standard is awe of Allah.

My clothing is of simple wool,

My prayer in winter is at suns rise.

My lamp is moonlight,

My steed is my legs.

My meal is whatever the earth gives me.

I lay down to sleep at night and have nothing,

I awake in the morning and have nothing, yet there is no one richer than I.

The Prayer Of Prophet Isa (As) - Poem ~ Z.I. Mahmud

Prophet Isa(AS) prayed to the Creator:
Oh! My Most Kind Allah!
My innumerable thanks to You!
You have created Me without a father!
Only by the word 'Koon'!

When people were blaming my mother's character
At that time, though I was a baby, You gave me the power to prove my mother's chastity!
You have given Me the power of returning people's life when they die!
You have given Me the power to cure the sick!
When my own nation prepared to kill Me, then you take me to the fourth sky!

If I am to fall in love
I pray that the decision is made,
not by my Nafs,
not by the glittering as it glitters,
not by the butterflies as they
flutter,
not by the melody of the
distressed singer,
not by a fleeting moment of desire
not by the straying eye that
lingered,
not by the adornments of the
cool dresser,
not by the coined words of the
great speaker,
for indeed speech can cast
false spells
as it flows gently like loose
pearls
painting a portrait of false tales.

If I do fall in love,
let it be love born out of Love
a gift from the One from whom all
love belongs.
A feeling that feeds on
submission
and drinks from the spring of
Iman
and dwells in the heart of the
Quran,
basks in the rays of the Sunnah,
is clothed in the garment of the
Nabiyy(SAW)
and roles with the best of
companions,
is energized by works of
goodness,
is at rest in the remembrance of
Allah
and lays in His glorification.
If I am to fall in love......

Man’s Enemy of Old

It is said, pride goes before a fall…

And such was the case of man’s enemy of old

Lo! The enemy’s venom flows within his veins, cold.

And with each heartbeat, he beckons to attack bold

His crosshair circling his person day and night

His aim is his heart

His goal is his soul

His weapons had never changed,

And his strategy, ever the same

Lo! The sins of man are his undoing,

For when sins are from pride,

Then he and the enemy are doomed

For in truth, pride goes before a fall…

Lo! This fall is nowhere but into the bottomless pit.

Sufyan Ibn Uyainah said:

“Whoever’s sin was because of [carnal] desires, hope for him (as he may repent and be forgiven); but whoever’s sin was out of pride, fear for him. For indeed, Âdam sinned out of simple desire, and was forgiven; whereas Iblîs (the devil) sinned out of pride, and was cursed”. [“Siyar A’lam An-Nubala”, 8/461].

We are in ramadhan, the shaitan (la) is chained, how scared are you of your own self?

"You know what's scary about Ramadan?"
"What?"
"Discovering that it's actually yourself, not Shaytaan."

" The fast is between Me( Allah) and my
servant"
A relationship beautifully defined
its match, I could never find.
My Rabb has made an amazing offer
its acceptance, how could I defer.
So as the moisture seeps outta my veins
and as my stride is gradually restrained
and as my stomach begins its sorrowful
melody
and my Nafs seems to be at war with me
or perhaps it is I who holds the ammunition
its weight suddenly catches my attention
till the straight line looks a little wobbled
and the smooth dress seems a bit ruffled
then I observed that its the body that is weak
the soul is vibrant and rich
from its Lord comes an infinite supply of Rizq
till the wealth becomes so vast
that it lends light to the eyes
and propels the feet that were restrained
and the veins an ample supply of moisture
and so the battle against Al Nafs becomes
easy
and the melody of the stomach pleasing
and the straight line actually appears straight
and the smooth dress even smoother!
The blessings of my Lord I could never count
in my weakness, I did a rebound!!!

Qiyaam and Taraweeh.

Qiyaam and Taraweeh
the school of the richest people,
admittance only by scholarship,
a flame of love for Allah.

Qiyaam and Taraweeh,
the honor of the believer,
as his forehead grazes the ground,
at the golden moments of dawn.

Qiyaam and Taraweeh,
an indicator of Allah's love,
the ones who are granted the ability,
for them is a vast reward.

"Is there anyone who will call,
so that I(Allah) may answer?
Is there anyone who will ask,
so that I may give?
Is there anyone who would seek
for my forgiveness,
so that I may forgive?"

The best of speech from Rabbul Alamin.
So as the world snores away,
get up and pray!

Even broken crayons color
with no reduction in its shade.
Painting a Noble picture,
from its lips, no complaints.

Indeed we shall be tested,
a knowledge it can't erase
then glad tidings to the patient
a reminder to be embraced.

Sakinah settles down,
in its heart is pasture for it to graze.
A pure and fertile land,
watered by Sabar and Praise.
Alhamdulillah!
Its Rabb, the Owner of all Praise!

I took my legs on a flight
on a dark night.
I prayed the night would hide my sins,
but the brilliant stars twinkled them bright.
I remembered my dreams,
sadly from them I have taken flight,
Maryam, Asiyah,Aisha, Khadija,
a circle of everything right.
Left right, left right,
sometimes more left, sometimes more right,
and sometimes I proclaim 'Go' but
my legs lose light.
the light of a path,
the path of a light.
No one was ever lost on a
straight path,
So in the darkness of my sight,
and with the little beam in my heart,
I whisper .........
Ihdina siratal Mustaqeen!

Doubts

Faith found in doubt.

Doubt found in frequent questions.

Questions about faith when in doubt.

But how many times man had to have faith while in doubt.

Doubt about the creation of heavens and the earth,

Doubt about what was,

Doubt about what is to come

But man would have faith still

Then, the questions should be;

In what faith has man placed his doubts?

In a man like him or an idol created by the hands of man?

In man’s science and his researches yet to come?

Or in the creator of man with canonical texts that exist?

And if man would reflect upon the signs of heavens and the earth,

Man would have found faith while in doubt

Or does man think all these came to be, just for mere amusement?

Indeed, in the alternation of night and day, are signs for those who reflect.

TRUE LOVE

True love can only be found when you seek eternity

I speak not of the Shakespearian tragedy called love,

Nor the confusing concept of modern day lies defined as love

Love in itself is eternal

For the Lord of eternity is Al-Wadud

I’ve found true love nowhere,

Except in few places and cases

The love found in following the Sunnah, loving the creator, emulating the Rasul

The love found in obedience to the creator, being dutiful to the parents

The love placed by the creator between two souls, a man and a woman, completing their deen

And then the love of Allah, between you and me, we meet and depart for His sake, seeking eternal shades,

Under His 'Arsh, on the day when no other shades shall exist.

Sino

NB: Al-Wadud- One of the 99 names of Allah (SWT), translated to mean "The Loving" or "Full of Love"

Sunnah- The sayings and actions of Prophet Muhammad (Peace and blessings of Allah be on him)

Rasul- The messanger (Prophet Muhammad (SAW) )

Deen- Religion,in this case Islam

'Arsh- The Throne of Allah (SWT)

~Isa ibn Mariyam (AS)

Seek what you do not Know only after you
have put into practice what you do Know.

The disciples of Isa ibn Mariyam (AS) came to him and asked;
“O spirit of Allah, is there anyone else like you alive in our time?”
He replied: “Yes indeed, Whoever has the dhikr of Allah in his heart,
and is silent in thought, and who learns from what is given,
surely that one is like me.”

Isa ibn Mariyam (AS), asked his people:
“Where do you find a plant growing?”
They replied: “In the dust of the earth.”
He said: “By Al Haqq, I will tell you,
Marifat (Gnosis) does not grow except in a heart
that is like the dust of the earth.”

Isa ibn Mariyam (AS) met a man and asked him what his profession was.
The man replied: “I worship Allah.”
Isa (AS) then asked: ‘Who feeds and clothes you while you worship?”
“My brother,” The man replied.
Isa (AS) said: “Your brother’s worship is better than your own.”

Isa ibn Mariyam (AS) met three people while traveling,
They were pale and thin with fasting.
He asked them: “What has caused this state in you?”
They said: “Fear of the punishment of Allah”
Isa (AS) replied: “Allah has taken it upon Himself to lessen your fear.”
He continued on a way and came across three more
who were pale and thin with fasting, even more than the last.
He asked them: “What has caused this state in you?”
They answered: “Desire for Allah’s rewards”
Isa (AS) said: “Allah has taken it upon Himself to give you what you long for.”

Once again in his travels Isa ibn Mariyam (AS) came across yet another three who were pale and thin with fasting.
Their faces shone as if they were lit from within.
So he asked them: “What is the cause of your state?”
They answered: “We love Allah, the Mighty, the Glorious.”
Whereupon he replied: “You are the nearest, and nearer still!”

The companions of Isa ibn Mariyam (AS) said to him:
“Look at this temple, is it not beautiful?”
Isa (AS) replied: “My people,
by al Haqq I tell you, Allah does not leave this temple standing
except to destroy it by the sins of it’s inhabitants.
Surely, Allah does not care about gold and silver,
He does not care about this building that you admire so.
What Allah, the Most High loves are good hearts.
Allah inhabits the heart that remembers Him and He desolates
the heart that does not.”

Isa ibn Mariyam (AS),
passed by a group of men who shouted evil things at him.
In return Isa (AS) spoke to them with kindness.
His companions asked:
“Why did you reply to these men with kindness when they spoke evil to you?”
Isa (AS) replied: “Everyone spends from the coin he has.”

To whom do your tears pay homage?
as they caress your white, black, yellow, red skin
and journey across your riftless chin
to disappear into the thin.

To what do your emotions pay homage?
Fear, hate, love, sadness, happiness, Ignorance?
bowing before an unlearned shadow
that races to extinction with light.

How do you even pay homage,
to concepts and thoughts that are homeless,
here today, there tomorrow,
disappearing acts that leave you in sorrow.

Learn and give homage
to the ones whose homes don't age
providing a picture of colors,
colors that don't fade.
