4 yrs after, little boy has grown beards and keeps it cool. Now on a trademark fade with a good shave. Moved out of home last year for life in the West. now a part breadwinner to my siblings. Life tho. Moves quite fast... Dad remained stubborn, still drove me to the salon the final day I was leaving the house. Thanks to my parents for the lessons, but still shouldn't force me to cut my hair. I liked it.

I really want to know. I am 20 and will soon be 21. I am keeping afro of 4months which i usually shape and trim My dad is always complaining about my hair but I will pretend as if I will cut it. But I don't want to cut it and will eventually not cut it. Sometimes I feel that at least, don't I have a right of my own to choose the hairstyle I want? He just said that whether l like it or not, I am cutting it this weekend. I am getting annoyed, but I don't want to do what I will regret. I think I am old enough to decide that I want to keep my hair, so what is the age I can say that I don't want to cut my hair and it won't look bad?

Edit.

The moment you stop eating from their pot, stop sleeping under their roof.

That's when they should stop telling you when to cut or not cut your hair..

Be grateful you have someone who care enough to tell you to get a haircut.

When this is the only haircut that gvs me confident, it improves my facial looks nd boosted my self esteem.
Telling me to go on low cut would kill me
