Ekiti - The People’s Democratic Party
(PDP) in Ekiti State has condemned the
All Progressives Congress (APC) and
its presidential aspirant, Atiku
Abubakar for commissioning an
uncompleted General Hospital in Ado- Ekiti. The ruling party described the
opposition party as a party of deceit
and urged Nigerians, especially the
South-west, to reject the party totally
in the next year general election. The party described the
commissioning of the project in Ado-
Ekiti by the former Vice President,
Atiku, as "shameful." “God forbid, if these APC people
should take over government in
Nigeria, in six months, the original
Nigeria would have been sold and
what will be paraded to us as a
country will be the photocopy,” PDP lashed. In a statement issued by the its State
Secretary, Dr Tope Aluko, the party
said by bringing Atiku to Ekiti State
earlier this month to commission a
hospital building "with only the
outside painted and structures inside still under construction", former
Governor Kayode Fayemi "had shown
the level at which the APC can fool
Nigerians.” It added that it was "painful" that
Fayemi’s APC government in Ekiti State
could spend N3.3 billion borrowed
funds to construct a new government
house while a hospital project started

a party of haters of the common
people of Nigeria. If not that the APC
hates the people, why would a
government preferred to spend N3.3
billion borrowed fund on a new government house meant for the
governor and his family alone while a
hospital project that has direct impact
on the well-being of the people was
abandoned?" “That Fayemi’s APC government was
able to complete a N3.3 billion new
government house within two years
while a hospital project it met on
ground was abandoned is a sign of
what the party would have done with Nigeria if it was in control of the
federal government." The ruling party added, "Most
importantly, that Atiku, a presidential
aspirant and one of the leaders of the
party could commission a hospital
without seeing the inside shows the
manner of deceit the APC represents and Nigerians should take note of this
as they prepare for the 2015 general
elections." Comment could not be obtained from
