I'm not an expert in constitutional matters but I want to believe the role of the Senate and the House of Representatives is to guide and direct the executive in times of need.
With the current insecurity bedevilling our dear nation, why is the NASS not having a joint session to delibrate and propel the Executive to declare full scale war and put all necessary steps to checkmate the issue. If someone comes and carves out a part of Nigeria and declares it a part of a so-called "caliphate, what does that mean? Is this not an act of aggression on the FG. Towns are sacked daily by terrorists and innocent lives are lost. Instead of the Legistlature to wake up to its contitutional mandate, they are wastin time on frivilous issues like decamping of the Speaker of the HOR. Irrespective of party affiliations I believe the NASS has a mandate to protect the integrity of this country. As it is some senators and HOR members cannot set foot in their constituencies because some mad men have declared it as no longer part of Nigeria. This is the time for the NASS to do the needfull, before the Army take a leaf from Burkina Faso.

In a sane society, one of 2 tins shd hv happened......1.Gej resigns honorably or 2. He gets impeached by the NASS. He has failed woefully in the discharge of the duties he chose to take up.

I guess this is not a sane country. Over 200 girls kidnapped for 6 months and its as if nothing happened.
