Now we have seen the latest video of Abubakar Shekau. Our hearts are no doubt broken again with this audacious video. What will the Chief- of- Army Staff say? Nigerians, when shall we be rescued from this show of shame? Are all our soldiers in skirt? Please where are the men in uniform?

IT TAKES A BULLET!

What you call 'sacrifice' is not it. We are rather wasting their lives. It takes a bullet from 'The real men in uniform' to the skull of the man bringing shame on this nation to stop our shame. You can ask Jerry Rawlings. Get the message right.

@OP

Unfortunately the soldiers and other men in uniform are making an average of N360k per year (about $2400), while your senators/ other leaders are making an average of $6m + kick-backs + stolen money per year.

It is senseless to expect any men in uniform to give up his life and leave fatherless children behind for a corrupt system. So, blaming men in uniform is f00lish. Instead of pointing fingers at men in uniform, why not ask our leaders to put on the uniform or ask their kids (who are mostly enjoying our money) to put on the uniform.

You don't expect a soldier that can hardly afford to eat twice a day or provide for his children to fight for this country with his heart and soul. You do not pay for a Toyota corolla and expect a Bentley in return; it is impossible. Don't blame men in uniform, blame the backward system and weak leadership.

Leaders need to look at themselves in the mirror...they are the only problem we have in this country.

You have attached your analysis to 'stomach structure', and in a situation where people join the Army for the sole sake of their 'stomach structure' then that explains why men and officers run away from battle, that is why I am calling on the REAL MEN IN UNIFORM to arise and save the nation.

Could you please list all the things your government has done for the families of Nigerian soldiers that have lost their lives during war against Boko Haram?

You will continue to see weak Military structure in Nigeria as long as your leaders continue to steal and not giving the men in uniform the proper salary to take care of themselves and families and supply them with adequate equipment to properly attack Boko Haram and protect the nation.

Again, you can not pay for a Toyota corolla and expect to get Bentley Azure. In life, you get what you pay for.

Tell your leaders to do what is right, and all other things will fall in place.

@OP:
just in case you didn't know.....
A country is as strong as her military power.
Our leaders have failed us, this is why all Nigerians must set aside sentiments and use their heads during the next presidential election. We must get it right this time around.

We can cry for the next 30 years if we want, but the fact remains the same:a country will never progress when a weak or an incompetent president is in charge.
Leadership is not for everyone; elect real leaders and great things will happen again in our country.

Buhari is my pick for 2015.
