TITLE:. DO NOT ACCEPT DEFEAT
SCRIPTURAL TEXT: (Proverbs 24:16)
"For a just man falleth seven times, and riseth
up again…”

Often times, in evaluating your performance on
the job or a given assignment over a period,
there is the tendency of becoming discouraged
where performance is perceived to be below
expectation. When unchecked, that feeling slips
into an acceptance of defeat, but accepting
defeat is not the proper response to low
performance.

For instance, if you discover that you have not
been praying, the proper response is to accept
that discovery as God saying ‘TIME UP’. He
expects you to instantly dissociate yourself
from the habit of prayerlessness, and begin to
pray. It would be wrong to assume that since
you have not been praying, there is no need to
even make an effort.
***
Therefore, do not allow your mistakes to give
you a defeat mentality. By choosing to obey
God’s voice promptly and make immediate
amendment where need be, you strengthen your
potential to obey Him subsequently. So, rather
than see yourself as a failure, effect those
changes that you know is right to make, and be
sure to do it now. Halleluyah!

TITLE:. BE THANKFUL
SCRIPTURAL TEXT: (Colossians 3:15)
"And let the peace of God rule in your hearts, to
the which also ye are called in one body; and
be ye thankful.”

Why is it that many believers fail to thank God
for what they have? It is chiefly because they
think that they deserve them anyway, whereas,
the Bible clearly states that no man can receive
anything except God has given it to him (John
3:27, 1 Cor. 4:7)

Promotion becomes automatic only when you
are constantly grateful for what you have.
Therefore, in failing to thank God often, we
delay our own promotion. Also, where gratitude
is concerned, learn to always compare yourself
or your present situation with your past. You
will always find something to be grateful for.
***
As you take stock of 2014, do not forget to give
God thanks for every bit of progress you have
made so far in different areas of your life. Never
get used to what God has given you because
you never even deserved them in the first place.
You have come this far only by the Grace of
God. As you give thanks to God today and
everyday, you can be sure to end the year well
and have an even greater 2015. Halleluyah!

TITLE:. STRATEGISE FOR THE COMING YEAR
SCRIPTURAL TEXT: (Proverbs 16:9)

In a matter of weeks, the curtains would be
drawn upon 2014. While this is the perfect time
to evaluate your performance in each area of
endeavour, it is not the time to worry about
your performance in 2014. Instead, you should
consider this a time to strategise for greater
performance in 2015.

Furthermore, our text today reveals the formula
with which you should plan for the incoming
year. It talks about devising your ways while
allowing God to direct your steps. In other
words, while you strategise for goals you intend
to achieve in the New Year, it is vital to listen
to the voice of God’s Spirit where
implementation is concerned. This is a formula
that works!

Proper preparation prevents poor performance.
So begin now to draw out plans for your
business, your family, you education or
whatever else matters to you. And while you are
at it, remember to seek the face of God for
counsel. Just like he did to Jacob (Gen. 31), He
will teach you to profit in all you set out to do
in the incoming year. Say Amen to that.

TITLE:. FOLLOW AFTER GOD

"Thus saith the LORD, thy Redeemer, the Holy One of Israel; I am the LORD thy God which teacheth thee to profit, which leadeth thee by the way that thou shouldest go.”

God’s design is that you move from one level of success into another. Undeniably so, God wants you to prosper in all that you do. Our text today shows us how He has designed for your success to happen; He leads you in the way that you should go. In other words, He expects you to follow Him as he leads you. Glory to God!

The breakthrough you desire in your spiritual walk, career, or business endeavour can only materialize when you learn to seek the Lord and follow His leading. The daily conscious effort of spending quality time with Him in fellowship and searching His Word to know His will is key in achieving this.

God wants to lead you in the way that you should go. He has a strategy to give you the much desired victory. Therefore, this is the time for you to develop an appetite for His Word. Do not hesitate to seek Him in fasting; praying until you can clearly hear Him. Make it a point of duty to hear Him daily, for when His Word comes, you would know the way that you should go. His voice is the breakthrough you need. Halleluyah!

WRITE DOWN YOUR PLANS
Habakkuk 2:2
“And the LORD answered me, and said, write
the vision, and make it plain upon tables, that
he may run that readeth it.”
In our text today, we see God’s response to
Habakkuk who had taken time out to seek the
Lord – ‘write the vision as plainly as possible’.
This stresses the importance of documenting
God’s Word to you, as it gives you the
opportunity to revisit, review and draw strength
from what is written.
Appearing in God’s presence without a writing
material is an attitude of unbelief, a sign that
you do not expect Him to say anything
worthwhile to you while you fellowship with
Him. Moreso, in a bid to succeed at whatever
he sets out to do, a man must first learn to
detail his goals and plans on paper, a practice
which helps him see clearly what would be
expected of him, when to begin, who to
collaborate with, and how.
Knowing this therefore, you must be ready to
document every Word that God would speak to
you this season. Go to bed with a pen and
paper by your side, knowing that He would
reveal an idea or a strategy for your success in
the incoming year. Begin now by writing out
your plans. Glory to God!

TITLE:. WORK WITH TIME LIMITS

SCRIPTURAL TEXT: (Esther 9:27)

“The Jews ordained, and took upon them, and upon their seed, and upon all such as joined themselves unto them, so as it should not fail, that they would keep these two days according to their writing, and according to their appointed time every year.”

Our text today talks about the Jews in the days of Esther who set out to observe a feast at an appointed time every year. Consider the use of words ‘so as it should not fail’ in stating their resolve. We can learn a very important principle from this; the discipline of working with time and time limits.

Whatsoever is worth doing at all must have a timeframe within which it must be accomplished. The Bible says there is a time for everything (Ecc. 3); implying that specific tasks are best done within a definite timeframe for maximum productivity to be achieved. Working with this understanding, you can learn to cut off excesses and become result-oriented in your endeavours.

As you plan for the remainig part of the year and 2015, build a consciousness of time into your mind. Allot time frames to every goal that you would set for yourself, and consciously work towards honouring time limits. Let your new definition of success be the accomplishment of your goal to time. Glory to God!

The Work of Your Hands Will Be Blessed This Week!

TITLE:. DO NOT SABOTAGE YOUR PRAYERS

SCRIPTURAL TEXT: (1Kings 18:43)

“And said to his servant, Go up now, look toward the sea. And he went up, and looked, and said, There is nothing. And he said, go again seven times.”
* * *

In praying God’s will into the earthly realm, there is the place of persistence; incubating your prayer until an answer comes. We see this in the example of Elijah while he asked for rain (1Kings 18), and Daniel, when he sought the Lord for the restoration of Israel. They prayed without ceasing; not quitting nor murmuring while the answer tarried. This is instructive.

Each time you pray about an issue, you must ensure that you do not complain about it thereafter, for in so doing, you destroy your prayer channel and abort your answer. If you have prayed about a matter, do not complain or entertain worry, but sustain your prayer with thanksgiving till an answer comes. As you discipline yourself this way, testimonies of answered prayers would be commonplace in your life. Say Amen to that!

Resume at your prayer altar today knowing that everything you ask in line with God’s Word is already answered (I John 5:14). Pray about an issue as often as it resurfaces on your mind, and as long as it takes for the answer to materialize, never stop giving Glory to God while you wait. You will surely testify!

THE PERFECT ANTIDOTE TO WORRY
* * *
(Philippians 4:6)
“Be careful for nothing; but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known unto God.”
* * *
The Bible says that in every labour, there is profit (Prov. 14:23). This is to say that any effort that does not give you a return on energy expended is a waste, and whatever steals your energy is an enemy. Worry is one of such enemies that must be overcome; our text today shows us how.

Our text today says that we should make our request known to God. In other words, each time a thought comes to stir your mind in the direction of worry, turn that thought into a prayer. No matter how many times the thoughts resurface, continue to verbalise it as a prayer to God until your faith reaches a point of certainty, when you know that God has answered. It is at that point that you should begin to water your prayers with thanksgiving. Glory to God!

This season, as you convert your object of worry into a subject matter in prayer, God would begin to lift the burden off you and give you a fresh supply of strength to do exploits in the coming year. Say Amen to that!

TITLE:. CRACK THE BONES

SCRIPTURAL TEXT: (1Samuel 17:34)

“And David said unto Saul, Thy servant kept his father's sheep, and there came a lion, and a bear, and took a lamb out of the flock: I went out after him, and smote him…”

It is the attitude of some to run away from difficult situations, but the believer ought to face every situation of life and overcome using the Grace of God just as David in our opening scripture.

By settling for excuses and generating reasons why things cannot work, a believer is only declaring that God’s Grace is not sufficient to handle that issue, but that is untrue. LEARN FROM YOUR PAST
Galatians 5:1
‘Stand fast therefore in the liberty wherewith
Christ hath made us free, and be not entangled
again with the yoke of bondage’.
If there is anything to learn from mistakes, it is
how NOT to repeat them, but many believers
allow their past mistakes weigh them down
until they are grounded. Though we may regret
our mistakes, that should not keep us from
forging ahead. Rather, we must learn how to
turn them into stepping stones.
Our text today talks about being not entangled
‘again’ with the yoke of bondage. This suggests
that no matter what unpleasant things might
have happened in the past ten months of this
year, you must learn to move on and not allow
them to negatively affect your New Year.
Habits, attitudes, decisions and every such
thing that made you fail must be avoided and
altogether dealt with.
It is not wisdom to do the same things over
and over again and expect a different result.
While the New Year approaches, begin now to
plan and work towards experiencing another
level of life by renouncing every association,
thought pattern or attitude that lead to your
failure in times past. Let the Spirit of God open
your eyes to areas where you need a change.

When you work diligently, our opening scripture says that you would have much food. In other words, abundance is closely connected to a strong work culture. Those who desire plenty must develop systems of continuous productive labour. What such systems have you put in place for 2015?

It is not enough to complain that things are hard or that the economy is in recession. God’s system cannot be broken; any man who trains himself to work hard can enjoy plenty. A wise man once said nothing works without a worker. It’s time to clarify what your goals are, and to settle down and work diligently towards their fulfillment. Glory to God!

Therefore, let readiness to work be your approach to life, and leave no room for idleness. Make every moment of your life count as you invest your energy, time and resources continuously into your business, spiritual life and life purpose. This way, you would have goods in store and much success to celebrate when the year comes to a close. Halleluyah!

TITLE:. THINK BEFORE YOU ACT

SCRIPTURAL TEXT: (Proverbs 21:5
)

‘The thoughts of the diligent tend only to plenteousness; but of every one that is hasty only to want’.

Haste is not the same thing as speed, because haste actually refers to a practice of doing things anyhow as long as time is saved, without giving due consideration to accuracy. On the other hand, speed is working with accuracy. It is giving attention to details with total concentration and consideration of time. Glory to God!

Our opening scripture highlights the strategy of thinking our way into plenty. It involves giving attention to details, which is in contrast to being hasty. Jesus Christ emphasised the importance of sitting down before every project to properly consider the pros and cons of embarking on that project (Luke 14:28-29). That way, He said, we can be sure of avoiding the embarrassment of failure.

As 2015 approaches, do not enter the year without properly considering what the Lord would want you to do in it. Also, envisage challenges, so that you can pray about them ahead of time, and map out ways of adequately overcoming them. Halleluyah!

The agenda of God on the earth centres around seeking and saving the lost; it is the cause for which He gave up His Only begotten Son, so that through Him the world should be saved (John 3:16). As beneficiaries of this same Grace, God expects us to partner with Him in bringing the lost to salvation through Jesus Christ.

God created you for Himself; becoming a sponsor of His course on the earth is therefore the best decision you can make. In becoming a partner with Him, you must be determined to allow everything that He has given you to work for Him by deliberately investing your strength, finances and possessions into the advancement of His Kingdom. Glory to God!
Therefore, whether it be by the way of evangelism, sowing a seed, rendering a service or being physically involved in soulwinning efforts, always ensure that you play a key role in bringing men to the saving knowledge of Jesus Christ. By so doing, you would increase your value in God’s Kindgom and begin to shine as the stars in the firmament. Amen!

THE TRUE ESSENCE OF WEALTH
Deuteronomy 8:18
“But thou shalt remember the LORD thy God:
for it is he that giveth thee power to get wealth,
that he may establish his covenant which he
sware unto thy fathers, as it is this day.”
In some quarters, wealth is thought to be that
which turns the heart of man from God. This
claim is often buttressed with the examples of
Solomon as well as other characters in
scriptures who turned from the ways of God
when they acquired a level of wealth. But how
true is this stance? Is wealth really evil?
Wealth is not evil, it is an amplifier; it brings to
fore what is already in the heart. If wealth
turned your heart away from God, then God was
never really the centre of your focus in the first
place. Poverty enslaves and restricts a man
from living out his righteousness, but wealth
amplifies your righteousness.It is only when you
have enough that you can carry out all the
good desires that God has placed in your
hearts.
According to our text, God gives us the power
to get wealth so that he can establish his
convenant of turning many to righteousness
which he made to Abraham. This is the true
essence of wealth. Therefore, while you work
your way into wealth, always remember this
and let it drive you and become your focus.

James 5:16
‘Confess your faults one to another, and pray
one for another, that ye may be healed. The
effectual fervent prayer of a righteous man
availeth much’.
The life we live functions from the fourth
dimension where the physical is controlled from
the spiritual. There is nothing that exists that
was not first created in the spiritual realm, and
by taking your place in prayer, you can begin to
take advantage of this arrangement to create
new things in your life.
Our text today says ‘the effectual fervent prayer
of a righteous man availeth much’, meaning it
makes power available. Consider how much you
can do when electricity is supplied to your
home, compared to the stress and boredom
that sets in when the power supply is cut off. In
the same way, you can enjoy unending cycles of
success in 2015 if you would put systems in
place to ensure that you do not cease from
praying.
The most effective strategy for enjoying a
glorious year is to spend sufficient time to pray
and create the year just the way you desire it to
be. It is the power you generate in prayer today
that would sustain your success tomorrow.
Generate sufficient power for your 2015 by
spending quality time in prayers daily and you
will not run out of power! Halleluyah!

Our scriptural text today makes us see that just as salt seasons food, graceful words edify others. In relating with others, it is important to use words constructively in such a way that it builds them up.

As a strategic soulwinner, it is important that you always have your words salted with hope, so that the hearers would be edified and drawn to Jesus Christ. We are to allow God’s Word dominate our thinking, and let the Holy Spirit guide our speech, so that each time we open our mouths to speak, our speech may strengthen others, especially in the direction of knowing God.

Therefore, as one who seeks to win a soul or work your way up the ladder of success, keep the consciousness that your words of encouragement, hope and love will go a long way in reflecting Christ and giving you favour before those who you would stand today. Halleluyah!

TESTIFY OF GOD’S GOODNESS
Revelations 12:11
“And they overcame him by the blood of the
Lamb, and by the word of their testimony; and
they loved not their lives unto the death. “
There is the interesting story of the Samaritan
woman who met with Jesus at the City Well
(John 4). Her prophetic encounter with Christ
turned her into an instant evangelist as she ran
excitedly to town to testify of what she had
experienced. Little did she know that she was
about to turn a whole city to Christ. That is the
power of testimony.
Often times, we fail to tell others about our
encounters with God because we think they are
of little significance, yet your testimony is the
tonic that someone out there needs. Also, in
some quarters, some believers think that they
have nothing worth testifying about, forgetting
that the New Life we have in Christ is worth
telling the world about. Glory to God!
Testifying about your new life in Christ and
your experiences in God is a good way of
winning people over into God’s Kingdom. Do
not hold back! Share that testimony with
someone today because when you testify, you
overcome!

TITLE:. WATCH OVER YOUR FIELDS

SCRIPTURAL TEXT: (Proverbs 6: 10-11)

“Yet a little sleep, a little slumber, a little folding of the hands to sleep, So shall thy poverty come as one that travelleth, and thy want as an armed man”

There has never been a time when those who fold their arms and sleep all day outsmarted or outran those who diligently pursue their dreams. To sleep is to be careless or negligent about what you ought to diligently tend or give attention to. Our opening scripture says that just a little sleep or slackness is an invitation to poverty and its cohorts.
What has God placed under your care? Is it a home, a business or an organization? It is your duty to stand watch over that entity, to groom it and defend its borders. Be sensitive to know the needs of your subjects from time to time, so you can adequately meet them. Just as it is laziness to sow in the field and fail to weed or watch over what is sown, it is negligence to allow things deteriorate under your watch.

Therefore, in the remaining part of the year and the coming year, you must refuse the spirit of slothfulness which may have kept you from thinking, planning and taking necessary steps towards success. Make accountability a priority and you can be sure of a steady increase in all that you do. Halleluyah!

WHERE IS YOUR SACRIFICE?
John 3:16
‘For God so loved the world that he gave his
only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in
him should not perish, but have everlasting
life’.
In life, there is always a price to pay for
everything. The rate at which you would
experience new things in your life is tied to your
readiness to continually give what it takes to
secure them. This is made evident in our
opening scripture today; God gave up His Son
to redeem the world. Halleluyah!
God’s infallible strategy involves depriving
oneself of something precious to gain
something even more precious. King Solomon’s
sacrificial offering provoked God to visit Him
(1Kings 3); even the King of Moab gave his son
to secure victory against Israel (2Kings 3). How
resolute are you in securing what God has
promised you? It must reflect in how much you
are willing to give up to make it happen.
What are you envisioning for 2015? Ask the
Holy Spirit to open your eyes to that which you
must sacrifice to attract something new into
your life. Listen for His voice today so you
might gain instruction for a brand new season
in your life. Halleluyah!

TITLE: EXPECT SUPERNATURAL HELP

2Chronicles 26:15
“And he made in Jerusalem engines, invented by cunning men, to be on the towers and upon the bulwarks, to shoot arrows and great stones withal. And his name spread far abroad; for he was marvellously helped, till he was strong.”
***

What is the secret of succeeding even in the midst of opposition and unfavourable circumstances? Our scriptural text today shows us the answer; it is being marvellously helped by God!

Severally, Christ Jesus found Himself in what could be called tight corners. Once left behind at sea, He walked on water (Matt. 14:29). At another time, He avoided the embarrassment of tax officers by bringing out coins from the mouth of a fish (Matt 17:27). These and more help us to see that as believers, we cannot be stranded or grounded. Glory to God!

When you seem boxed in or fast running out of options, cry unto the Lord, and commune with the Holy Spirit who is the Master Strategist. For every situation, He has a strategy to give you victory. By His voice, you would be led from one victory into another, until your territory is enlarged and all enemies are crushed. Shout Amen!

“But the path of the just is as the shining light, that shineth more and more unto the perfect day. “

The passion to do more and be more is an inherent trait in every child of God. That explains why you have always felt like doing more for God or giving more or growing even more. That desire is from God; He wants you to grow from glory to glory with every passing day. Amen.

Our text today says that when a righteous man starts off on a project, he can only get better and better with every passing day. In other words, with every level of achievement he attains, there is always a new aspiration and a higher level to grow into. Glory to God!

With this revelation in mind, you must not let your present level of success blind you to the fact that even greater feats lay ahead. Be driven to attempt and achieve bigger feats in your career, business, or spiritual development. Set new targets, and after you hit them, set higher ones still. This is how to have an ever-fruitful year.

There is a way to turn your past failure into a success. History is replete with the examples of men who failed severally in their quest for success, but their ability to change their approach or method after each failed attempt ensured that they succeeded eventually.

Many fail not because of the devil, but because they fail to embrace that which is the most constant thing in life – Change. It is pride to refuse change, especially in the face of obvious under-performance. It takes humility to change, because change is a declaration that we are not perfect, and that there was a better way to do things which we did not know before then.

As you plan for the incoming year, be humble enough to admit areas of your life where your approach or mode of operation has failed in the past. Research and seek the face of God for new ways to make them work, and be ready to employ better strategies for higher productivity. Halleluyah!

TITLE: LIVE AN ATTRACTIVE LIFE

Daniel 6:3
“Then this Daniel was preferred above the presidents and princes, because an excellent spirit was in him; and the king thought to set him over the whole realm.”

Success is not by chance. When we look through God’s Word, we see several accounts of promotion, and God’s strategy for delivering it. Our opening text talks about Daniel, a man of distinct character; the Bible says he was of an excellent spirit. Little wonder he was distinguished from the other children of Judah.

When we live our lives based on the values of God’s Word in such a way that others come to identify us with them, we automatically set up ourselves for a promotion. This happens because even unbelievers recognise and admire such values. Nebuchadnezzar’s choice of Daniel as the Governor over his Kingdom reflects this truth.

As you go about your business today, do what it takes to uphold integrity and live by the standard of God’s Word. That is God’s strategy for bringing you favour even from the most unexpected of places. Halleluyah!

CONSECRATE YOURSELF
Mark 1:35
“And in the morning, rising up a great while
before day, he
went out, and departed into a solitary place,
and there
prayed.”
The daily schedule of an average individual
includes several
hours spent in traffic, at work, or before a TV
screen, often
with little attention paid to the spirit. With such
level of
busyness each day, it is deception to think that
ten minutes of
devotion six times a week, coupled with
attendance in one or
two Sunday services in a month is enough to
meet the needs
of your spirit.
Maintaining spiritual health requires that we
spend quality
time in fellowship with God.This is the way to
grow
spiritually. If unforgiveness, bitterness,
murmurings, and any
such work of the flesh must be adequately
dealt with, there is
the need for you to consecrate yourself more to
the Lord.
You can consecrate yourself to the Lord in
fasting this
season, denying your flesh of some comfort so
you might feed
your spirit. Shed off every excess weight and
desire which
has distracted you from seeking Him. As you do
this today,
you would be drawing closer to an encounter
with God that
will change your life forever.

YOUR PRESENT HELP IN TIME OF NEED
Isaiah 30:21
‘And thine ears shall hear a word behind thee,
saying, this is the way, walk ye in it, when ye
turn to the right hand, and when ye turn to the
left’
In moments of loneliness and despair, many
would go to any length to find some sort of
relief, even to the point of compromising their
faith. The words of today’s opening scripture
however open our eyes to an amazing truth;
the help we need is right with us.
When thoughts of loneliness or helplessness
creep in, let Christ’s word of promise ring true
in your heart: ‘I will not leave you
comfortless…’, He said (Luke 14:18). God has
sent you the Comforter who is the Holy Spirit,
who is with you to strengthen and teach you.
Develop your ability to hear Him more clearly
by speaking to Him more often. As you declare
your trust in Him every hour, He would show
you the way to go every moment. Glory to God!
Are you presently in distress or in a state of
confusion? Acknowledge the presence of God’s
Spirit with you right now, and He will speak to
your spirit through the written word of God, in
prayers or even in a vision. His voice will now
begin to comfort you and lead you out of your
present distress. Glory to God!
