What makes you think it was impossible? In fact the archeaological evidence seems to suggest the existence of noahs ark. Babylonian historians recant a similar account that tallys with the same time of biblical account.

judging by the size of the ark as described in the Bible, there is no way it would have contained all the various species. and theres no way Noah would have been able to get all the diff types of animals or where they all located where he was? how did he get polar bears?
