How To Solve The Problem Of Electricity In Nigeria by Nobody: 12:35pm On Nov 09, 2014 |
Nigeria has been having problem with electricity. the only way to solve the situation is, =»The FG should build a power generating station in all the 36 states in Nigeria at least 1000 to 2000megawatts will be okay for every state or even 500 may be okay but 2000 for all those industrial states like Lagos, onitsha, Abia etc. That is the only way to solve the problem of electricity. There should be a bugdet for this. This is also a good campaign strategy. Thanks. Any other views..share mods front page please... |

Bro. buying generating sets isn't the solution, the greedy politicians aren't ready to solve the issue, we have everything needed to generate power, from the constant production of gas in Nigeria, power generation only need turbines and distribution channels. BTW electricity isn't a new innovation, it has been long, my point therefore is our leaders are just wicked. 1 Like |

kensto: I'm curious, how do you plan to get fuel to power all the generating stations? The siting of a generating station is based on several factors two most important ones are how you plan to evacuate the power generated and choice of fuel. Your idea though good isn't economically feasible 1 Like |

kensto: No my brother, the President is just a man. If you were the president as well you will understand this. It WE the people that need to work with the people/persons in charge to bring about a change. He wanted to build a Nuclear Power Plant, all ethnic groups rejected it to be located in their zones. Ok lets do gas, APC top men and godfathers(OBJ) are sabotaging it Ok lets build dams, Building of Dams are expensive and takes time depending on the size. Also it displaces locals. Knowing Nigeria they will fight against it. These things take time, but there is improvement in the sector. I just pray other Nigerian work hand in hand with the government 1 Like |

kensto: No things don't work that way. When you talk of private investors, are they working for the government ? If yes then corruption takes over Are they a company for themselves ? If yes then the government will need to subsidies it to make it affordable for the masses. It is a chicken and egg thing, which comes first |

Re: How To Solve The Problem Of Electricity In Nigeria by Zico0(m): 2:27pm On Nov 09, 2014 |
I don't think electricity is a problem in Nigeria. A litre of fuel sells for N100, approx. 65 cents. Oil is one of the dearest commodities in the world, but here we get fuel for sixth-tenth of a dollar! What else does a person want? We want power running 24/7 but we cannot manufacture even a generator set. Where will the power come from? Heaven? Why is internet service much more expensive than oil? huh! |
