A spaceship is attempting to land on a comet this morning - and you can watch the Mission Control live.

Scientists say the mission is one of the most ambitious feats ever attempted in space this morning.

This is the final part in the 12-year Rosetta mission, all designed to give us a better understanding of the origins of our solar system.

If all goes to plan, a landing craft will detach and land on the comet known as 67P. The target is 2.5 miles wide, travelling through space at around 40,000 miles per hour.

Scientists hope the data collected by Rosetta and its lander will provide insights into the origins of comets and other objects in the universe.
