Former President Olusegun Obasanjo and a former military dictator, Gen. Ibrahim Babangida, were both absent from President Goodluck Jonathan’s declaration to contest the 2015 presidential election in Abuja on Tuesday.

Obasanjo and Babangida are both members of the ruling Peoples Democratic Party, PDP.

It would be recalled that Babangida was among those who contested for the party’s presidential ticket in 2011, but lost to Jonathan, while Obasanjo was a former chairman of the PDP’s Board of Trustees (BOT), but later resigned from the position over issues regarding how the party was being run.

Many reports say Obasanjo is against the second term ambition of Jonathan because he (Jonathan) allegedly agreed with the leadership of the PDP, including the governors in 2011, that he would only be in office for one term.

Babangida’s absence however may be due to the fact that he just returned from a two month medical trip abroad.

Those 2 important figures were part of those who made the clueless otuoke man president. They just confirmed that GEJ was a mistake of a president. He has few months left in office.

What do they mean by "SHUN"? Most people don't know that GEJ is transforming democracy to what it should be in Nigeria. In other words, elders are not supposed to be seen but heard. It is the likes of Buhari and co who have expired but refused to come to terms with the new dawn that are still exhibiting their old school mentality of politics in Nigeria. Somebody should please educate Buhari on the ebeano of politics.
I want all to know that GEJ holds the ace in modern day Nigeria politics.
