A 32-year old mason, Terkula Iorpuur was on Thursday remanded in prison by a Makurdi Magistrates’ Court for allegedly raping two sisters aged six and eight.

Iorpuur is charged with rape punishable under Section 284 of the Penal Code.

The prosecutor, Insp Terzungwe Kajo, told the court that the uncle of the victims reported the matter at ‘B’ Division Police Station, Makurdi, on 6 October.

I wish we could just skip all the court sessions in some kind cases, and just go straight to sentencing. This.....deserves a Life inprisonment sentence with no option of parole at any stage
