IGP May Collapse Nigeria' Democracy- Opinion by inas111(m): 7:54am On Nov 21, 2014 |
Jibrin Ibrahim Wrote: The tear gassing the Speaker of the House of Representatives today, who is no 4 person in our democracy and stopping legislators from entering the National Assembly to do their work is reckless abuse of power that can make our democracy collapse. It was similar action by IG Sunday Adewusi in 1983 that precipitated the collapse of the Second Republic. Suleiman Abba as IG is treading the same path and I am worried about our democracy. If he is not acting on the President's orders, he should be sacked immediately. If however he is acting on the President's orders, then it becomes clear that the real threat to our democracy is President Jonathan himself. 1 Like

This IGP needs to resign with immediate effect. Nigerians should mobilise in numbers and demand for the removal of this inspector general of police who is by behaviour a card carrying PDP member. This IGP though acting a presidential script seems to be encouraging anarchy and a descent into a state of lawlessness which is only been overlooked by Nigerians. lets create the the hash tag #SULEIMANABAMUSTGO and demand relentlessly for this bigot's removal. |
