She is visually-impaired but she is not deterred. She has travelled around the world, achieving feats, which some able-bodied counterparts have not. She is a talented singer, a flair she has harnessed to her own benefit.

With a voice better heard than described, Agnes Olubunmi Dada with her band, ‘The Anointed Praise’, has established herself as an individual while also using the avenue to worship God and become a source of inspiration to fellow physically-challenged persons in the society.

Last year, Bunmi initiated a musical concert tagged: ‘Come Worship the King’, an event, which has become a yearly programme to worship God through songs and also extend hand of love to fellowship to other physically-challenged persons in the society who partake in the concert. The concert featured different gospel artistes who came together with one purpose: to worship God.

At this year’s concert held at Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG), Winners Chapel, Shangisha, Magodo, Lagos State, Bunmi with her band wowed the audience with her angelic voice in praises to God.

Also performed at the concert were Benita Okojie, Kema Inno, RCCG Winners Chapel choir, Pacelli School for the Blind and Partially Sighted Children and a physically challenged lady artiste on a wheel chair, Constance.

Speaking to The Guardian after the event, Bunmi said that the concert was held yearly to worship God and extend hands of love to other physically-challenged persons and the les- privileged in the society.

She disclosed that it was a vision that God committed into her hands as a physically challenged person: to promote the cause of her colleagues and also bring people into His kingdom.

He said: “This concert is organised to worship our Maker and our King and to extend a hand of love to physically-challenged persons. In the first edition of the concert, which was held at Latter Rain Chapel, Ota, Ogun State, we brought in children from Ijanido Motherless Babies Home and it recorded a huge success.

“This is not a money-making concert. It is just a vision that God committed into my hands as a physically-challenged person. There are so many us that are outside there and are really suffering. The society does not show them enough love. I am a music minister and God has given me this vision to touch the lives of these people the way God did to them in a banquet recorded in the Bible.

“Jesus Christ has not called us to turn anybody down or that anybody should go back empty but to give the little we have and extend a hand of love and bring people to His kingdom.”

She finally called on parents of physically-challenged children to train them.

“ Send them to school and make them learn handwork. They can also contribute to the development of the society,” she advised.

He further called on the government and the public not to pity people with physical challenges but assist them, revealing that in her time in the United Kingdom, she realized that assistance for the physically-challenged people was entrenched in their system.

Meanwhile, the Assistant Pastor, RCCG Winners’ Chapel, Pastor Moses Anjorin described Bunmi as a wonderful person who carries the glory of God.

Disclosing that he knew her through his brother who is a pastor, he said that his contact with her proved her that “she loves God and as such, the church’s decision to support her in her endeavour.”

She finally called on physically-challenged persons to worship God, no matter the situation that they found themselves, stating that “no condition in life should be an impediment to worshiping God as shown by Bunmi Dada. ”
