Okon Iyanam is one of the prominent Oro sons interested in the governorship of Akwa Ibom state by 2015. In this interview with Itohowo Williams of www.blog4allnaija.com through a social media interaction, he said, Governor Akpabio is prepared to kill in order to make Udom Emmanuel Governor.

He posited that since Akpabio holds some level of influence on the PDP at the National level and with so much of Akwa Ibom money at the Governor’s disposal, it will not be easy to run out Akpabio in picking his preferred successor. It is a story worth reading.

Consider the following facts: Akpabio is intent on installing his stooge.

He has the resources – money, national influence, PDP connections and the police force – to achieve this. He is prepared to kill to have his way, having publicly wished death upon all who seek to negate him. Beyond this, he has the state party machinery in his control and probably a Presidential endorsement for all PDP governors to install their successors as widely reported in the media some weeks ago.
