Barely a week after he splashed N16.4 million and N8 million on Katsina and Sokoto All Progessives Congress chapters respectively to lobby delegates ahead of the Primary Election in December 2014, the Former Vice President,Alhaji Atiku Abubakar, today doled out another N5 million naira to the Ebonyi Chapter of the party in Abakaliki to canvas for votes of the delegates.

Atiku, after his official visit to the State Party Secretariat in company of the Party henchmen across the country,announced a donation of 5million Naira to refurbish the Secretariat as well as 50 thousand Naira to each of the delegates from the 13 Local Government Areas of the State that would participate at the up coming Presidential primary election.

The Former Vice President of Nigeria,who described himself as the most outstanding Democrat in Nigeria said he was in Ebonyi State to honour the Party faithful in the state, as well, ask for their support to realise his presidential
ambition.

He said there is nothing like consensus candidate,affirmation or acclamation in the current Nigerian Democracy, insisting that true democracy is obtained by one casting ones vote to a person of ones choice.

He said his aim of running the Presidential race is to change what is not right explaining that it was from this point of view that made him to fight the 3d term agenda even as a vice President.

He said that the problem with the Nigerian society is that power is often given to people who are not prepared:“you don't give power to people who are not ready,people who are not prepared, people who do not have the experience;I stand out among the rest"

He said the APC is challenging the notion of PDP that it would rule the country the next 60years stressing that it cannot happen.

He urged the members of the Party to vote for APC in the 2015 and to stay around their voting points, to ensure that their vote counts.

He assured the Ebonyians saying“ you can trust power in me because I will not abuse your democratic right"

Am dumping PDP tonight and defecting to APC tomorrow !!

No one deserve the APC’s presidential ticket more than you because you are well schooled in the art of politics and well-experienced in marrying governance with politics. Change must come.
