Hi Bros,
Are manual cars(non automatic)still needed in Nigeria? I have 3 clean manuals vehicles over here in the States and I'm wondering if I should ship them home to sell in Nigeria or sell here. 1 Toyota Matrix 05' and 2 Toyota Corolla's 06'
Please let me know.

These are strong vehicles and being Toyota products I'm very sure you'd get buyers in no time.

Good luck all the same!

If the manual is only limited to the transmission, yhu will get a buyer at fair price. Any other manual, do yhur calculations properly so yhu don't blame prospective buyers if they give yhu ridiculous offers.

Hi sonnie10,
Can u please state your reason. Did u have a bad experience or what?

Manual still remains the best. Good to drive and cheap to maintain. Most people talking don't even know how to maintain automatic vehicle neither have they changed their transmission oil.

Yes. If an automatic transmission goes for #1M, buyers would price the manual for only #500k. Just bear this in mind before you send the car since you want to resell.

That's not true. No car is sold at half the price because of its transmission in Nigeria. At worse, 85-95% of an auto price. E.g a 2013 Hyundai can sell for 2million for MT and 2.2million for AT

Abi? I believe u ooo. Price will drop but wont be too low as if u brought scrap home. Here in North America, lot of people still drive manual. Even some high end cars here are all manual tranny. A clean car is a clean car regardless if its manual or tranny-its a matter of choice.

Ok Sonnie, here is my question. If I sell to you a good 2003 or 2004 manual corolla that's is clean for the price of 850,000 naira, will u buy or not assuming everything is in good shape?

Believe me, because of how flooded the market is, one is able to get a tokumbo automatic transmission of that model for that price

My brother this is a fair price, the automatic of those year sell for 1.2 to 1.3 so selling a toks manual trans for that price is fair we bought a 2006 toks corolla for 1.6m just two months ago around oct or Nov and the best price for a 2005 was 1.5 the others that had a lesser price were either accidented, flooded or had been worked on according to our informant

Bring yhur cars down, aim towards corporate/fleet buyers if yhu don't get individual clientele. Yhu'd get good money for yhur car as long as the only thing manual is the transmission.
