**Abeg oo, make any person wey read dis post no tink say I dey look down on any group of people. Na just experience wey happen to me wey I no expect!

All my life, at least when I mature and come begin decide who go barber my hair, I dey always dey careful about who I allow to touch my hair. Once I enter any babershop and dem no cut am de way I like, na bye bye to dat baber shop.

And den when I come yankee, na de same tin. I dey always dey careful with my hair. Infact ee take me like 3 months before I cut my hair for de first time. I dey busy dey find where to cut my hair. As person from Africa, no be any barber shop wey you see wey you go just enter to cut ya hair. I go explain why ee be like dat.
For here, dem get code wey be say you go cut ya hair according to ya "kind". At least na wetin I see odas dey do, and na so I copy dem too.
But as I come move recently, I come begin find new baber. Na so I land for dis place wey dem call Procuts. I don already call to find out weda dem dey cut "black" hair (yes oo, most tins na black OR white for here!). And dem tell me YES. I reach de place. I sign my name and come begin wait my turn. But I notice say no male baber dey for de place. Surprise, surprise!! My turn reach and dis babe tell me say make I come sidon for her chair. Lol, as she see as I do my face, na im she tell me say make I no worry, and say be professional! Ok oo, I let her to cut my hair.

And I go tell you say she do real good job. Even she come dey tell me tins about hair wey I no even know about. De way she cut my hair even beta pass wetin some guys fit do. And so I come begin go dia dey cut my hair. Yes oo, de babe been dey correct, she be real PROFESSIONAL!!

But de tin wey come shock me pass be when I go dia last week and my regular baber no been dey around, so now na onyibo female barber get to cut my hair. To talk say I been get some reservation about dis one, na big understatement. Infact ee take me like 4 seconds to stand up from where I sidon to go sidon for her barbing chair.

As I look her for face, na so she flash me smile (dem oynibo sabi flash smile well well). I know say for her mind she been wan tell me to "have faith" for her skills. Well to cut de long story short, she cut my hair proper. I been dey very satisfied with her work.

After dis my encounters with female babers, I come realise say I neva really tink am before say woman go eva cut my hair. I no eva believe say I get stereotype aginst female babers. And I tank God say I been experience dis one. At least now I know say when ee come to barbing- "wetin man fit do, woman fit do am beta pass man!". Lol.

And I wish some of awa sistas go brach out, and begin cut men hair. Afterall men don dey do women hair from time immemorial. My sistas make una begin cut men hair. Make una challenge dis men babers and give dem a run for dia money!!
