Icudkill: wetin this one dey talk. Knox enabled kor. people just hear about a security feature and feel that its applicable in all situations. Knox is an enterprise security software that secures a phone for enterprise services. it will not protect ur phone against theft and believe me, you can easily flash a galaxy s5 if you know what ur doing. when Knox is enabled it protects the contents on the phone and will make sure it is not accessible without the password. in other words if the phone is stolen the content is not accessible to the thief if Knox is enabled so flashing the phone will delete all data which is what the thief wants in the first place |

Samsung users can track their phones at www.samsungdive.com. sign in with your Samsung ID and password. Your phone can be tracked, locked and ring remotely. |

MarthaK: A simple factory reset will erase everything on an android phone. if the person can't get access to the phone, booting into recovery would do the trick, if they can't boot into recovery, using adb (android debug bridge) and sending in the right command would format it. |

sKeetz: Sometimes I hate the lax moderation on Nairaland. Such an offensive comment and yet it's still up, hours after. Seriously sexist point of view to label any girl using a flagship phone as a 'prostitute'. Flagging this to the mods. |

caramel007: Did you register for a Samsung account? You can track the phone with that. Next time you get an Android phone, install Cerberus backup from Google play. If you're rooted and you give the app root access, it can survive even reflashing and will prompt you when anyone puts in another SIM 1 Like |

deejayharry1: Thank you so much. I have done as requested. It gave me two options of either erasing or have it ring out. I clicked on ring out. But can all these work if the phone is switched off?

caramel007:choosing it to ring will have the phone ring over there, but sadly this wouldn't help get the phone back, because as much as it rings, it wikk only ring as it is there... having it erased will continuously be wiping the phone... i think that option will be the best, since it will keep frustrating whoever has it.. wish you were given an option to track it via gps... i would have helped you do it... |
