"Hysterical strength, or superhuman strength" This is a display of extreme strength by humans, beyond what is believed to be normal, usually occurring when people are in life and death situations. Common anecdotal examples are of mothers lifting vehicles to rescue their children. The extra strength is believed to come from adrenaline, though incidents are rare, unrepeatable, with no examinable evidence and few witnesses; research into the phenomenon is difficult, though it is thought that it is theoretically possible. Everyone heard the story of a kid trapped under a car and then his mom lifts the car and saves the day. Some use this story to illustrate. the power of adrenaline, or how much more people can achieve in their lives, Here's the Full Story. .. It was the Good Friday, April 9 1982 in Lawrenceville, Georgia and Anthony Vincent Cavallo II, a teenager at that time, has jacked up his 1964 Chevy Impala (same model as the one on the photo above) in the driveway to work on its suspension. After he removed the rear suspension spring (not the tire as some sources claimed), the jack slipped away leaving Anthony clamped between the top of the rear wheel and the top of the fender of a 3,340 - 3,895 pound car (Chevy Impala weigth. data taken from here). His mother Angela, who described herself as "5- foot-8, large framed and strong" was in the kitchen when a neighbor kid ran in and told that Anthony had an accident. She ran out and lifted the corner of the car just a few inches so it doesn't keep pressing the passed-out Anthony while the kid went to get help. She estimates that Mrs. Angela Cavallo, lifted the corner of the car high enough and long enough for for about "5mins" until two neighbours replaced the jacks and pulled Tony from beneath the car. Now Anthony fully recovered today runs "five Goodyear tire stores". If you ask me 5 minutes is between debatable and impossible. But this case seems to fall under the "what people can do in extreme situations" kind of story. There are other cases of people doing remarkable things when they or their children are in danger. Other Examples . .. In 2006, Ivujivik, Quebec resident Lydia Angiyou saved several children by fighting a polar bear until a local hunter shot it. In 2006, in Tucson, Arizona, Tom Boyle watched as a Chevrolet Camaro hit 18-year-old Kyle Holtrust. The car pinned Holtrust, still alive, underneath. Boyle lifted the Camaro off the teenager, while the driver of the car pulled the teen to safety. In 2009, in Ottawa, Kansas, 5 ft 7 in (1.70 m), 185 lb (84 kg) Nick Harris lifted a Mercury sedan to help a 6-year-old girl pinned beneath. In 2011, in Tampa, Florida, 6 ft 3 in (1.91 m), 295 lb (134 kg) University of South Florida college football player Danous Estenor lifted a 3,500 lb (1,600 kg) car off of a man who had been caught underneath. The man was a tow truck driver who had been pinned under the rear tire of a 1990 Cadillac Seville, which had lurched forward as he worked underneath it. The man suffered only minor injuries. In 2012, in Glen Allen, Virginia, 22-year-old Lauren Kornacki rescued her father, Alec Kornacki, after the jack used to prop up his BMW slipped, pinning him under it. Lauren lifted the car, then performed CPR on her father and saved his life. In 2013, in Oregon, teenage sisters, Hanna (age 16) & Haylee (age 14) lifted a tractor to save their father pinned underneath. In conclusion some things sound amazing but they are not supernatural neither are they impossible. I have witnessed or most of us have witnessed, some things that science can't explain how they happened, but the above story are not in that category. They were caused by a perfectly worldly natural force called "people in panic". From my view. .. This is Yet another evidence to prove you can achieve much more than what you have right now, iF only one can push harder rather than stay in a comfort zone" You don't have to wait for situations to arise before you realise this, it might just be too late and you be full of regrets thinking "Had I known"
