Its sad when our universities behave like an institution of illiteracy.

Why increase the tuition of existing students rather than that of the new intakes that would resume from the next session?

This people are not serious. I paid roughly 160k for my Msc @ UI. A friend who attended unilag paid more than that. Post graduate school is run by the school, no assistance frm federal government unlike undergraduates. Make them go find job to be able to pay.

I just hope this students can come to the other federal universities that runs post graduate programs and see how much they pay.. ..

They won't complain much because the price range is almost thesame for these institution....

Uniport made us pay 162,800 for 12 months. And we're still going to pay 100,000 for the extra 6 months since the duration of the program is 18months. And they categorically stated that we shouldn't work, or accept any job offer during the duration of the program for full time students. Still wondering how a jobless person is suppose to raise all that cash.
...should any of the PG student get caught in a criminal activity while sourcing for fund, the school authority will be the 1st to denounce such student...

Yet, this same government wants to improve Nigerian economy right? How do they do research without government funds? This government had only taken us back a century.

You guys aint paying much now ask people from FUTA, where the least payment is 150k (sch fee + acc fee) and professional course like Arch. PMT pay 240-320k per session.

Take heart.

Having a postgraduate degree is not compulsory , haha! Postgraduate courses are not for under 16 as well. Make them pay or leave the school. Where in the world do postgraduate students pay 69,000 naira or its equivalent? Only in UNN! !!

No you can work. I work too. Just that some departments don't consider peeps working when they fix their lecture time tables.
