I hate to use d bible in givin advice. But i got solid financial advice from Joseph d Dreamer (or Joseph d Realist in dis particular case) in his suggestion to Pharoah.

"Your Majesty... collect one-fifth of every crop harvested in Egypt during the 7years when there is plenty."

In simple English, it means save 20% of ur income or salary or profit. In pidgin, e mean sey if u get N100 make u save N20. If u get N1,000 make u save N200. If u get N18,000 make u save N3,600. If u get N30,000 save N6,000. If u get N50,000 save N10,000. If u get N100,000 abeg, biko, ejo, mbok save N20,000. Daily or weekly or monthly. Shikena!!!

Another advice wey King kObOkO go give u to backup Oga Joseph advice, is for u to have at least two bank accounts. 1 fit be ur salary account while d other 1 go be ur 20% savings account. Dis 20% account should not have an ATM card o! If them give u ATM card for ur 20% account, break am or hide am where ur eyes no go dey see am or ur hand no go dey touch am. because believe it or not, an ATM card is temptation. Temptation to withdraw cash anyhow. Temptation to spend from ur precious 20% daily, weekly or monthly savings.

Remember!!! Never touch d money in ur 20% account except u wan use d money to invest, start ur own business or to take care of a life & death situation (like d 7yrs of famine in Pharoah's case).

I had to post this here afta i saw someone lamentin how Nigerian youths don't save. Its true. I hope dis advice go ginger us to dey save shaa.

If u can increase ur savings from d recommended 20% to 30%, even better. If u can save 20% & use another 10% to help d poor or motherless babies or jst a friend in need, best. Sorry, but i dont believe in tithes or tithing, except u dey 100% sure sey ur church no go chop d money anyhow or go use am buy private jet. *winks*
