Another land wasting exercise, building two bedroom flats on two plots plots of land. Instead of build around 4 to 5 storey building of about ten flats as a real housing project. We always choose to waste our lands in the name of housing estates. Another is that when the project is completed, and you dont know anybody around there, then you are simply not eligible to apply for one. 8 Likes |

Just like I stated in a recent thread..Elections are here...all they want to do is deceive Nigerians with propagandalistic projects. Since 2008, Jonathan didn't know Nigerians need houses? Na when he remain 2 months to election. Other part of story is they will embezzle the money and use most for election, it's unavoidable, the govt/administration is corrupt. After election, una go find house taya. For 6 years, the fg didn't knw Landlords are cutting pples neck with crazy rents? Cement is expensive? It's when election time came that they begged Dangote to reduce price. Other part is if they build the houses, they will share it among themselves. Hw many houses has the PDP admin built for ordinary Nigerians since 1999. Even in Lagos we saw what Lateef Jakande did, and the current mortgage scheme Fashola has implemented. We can't be fooled again, we want change. Mr. Progressive 12 Likes 1 Share |

Very good....but meanwhile....there are a lot of empty houses in Maitama and other high brow areas. If I was the Govt....I would confiscate them and use them to rehouse Abuja's homeless. 1 Like |

Wow! How convenient, just as he is about to round up this his tenure and head to the electorate next year, he keeps churning "pipe dream" projects like a diarrhoea patient's azz. Three things are invovled, Either he wants to use this new contracts as a conduit to channel funds to his campaign/pocket or he suddenly realized that this project is of paramount importance for the infrastructural development of nigeria or he wants to use this project to sway the obstinate mind of voters of dissenting political affiliation. Anyways, it is still a nice development if this project can come to fruition. 2 Likes |

this just doesn't make sense, building multiple estates is not the problem, building affordable ones is the main thing. all these thieving politicians and civil servants will buy everything and probably lock it up. Abuja is filled with houses but they are not affordable. how do u justify paying N1million per annum for a 2-bedroom flat in lugbe or N3million for such in Wuse 2 ? Government should model after Canada, Singapore and China on how to build mass and affordable housing unit 3 Likes |
