The Senior Staff Association of Nigeria (SSANU) sent a strong warning to the Federal Government, to immediately put in place a machinery for the renegotiation of the 2009 agreement or face a nationwide strike in the universities. In a communique issued after its National Executive Council (NEC) meeting held at the University of Ibadan and made available to journalists yesterday, the union, said the 2009 agreement signed with SSANU in 2009 is long overdue for renegotiation. The communique signed by SSANU President ,Comrade Samson Ugwoke and the Public Relations Officer, Comrade NAD Aboribo, also frowned at the failure of government at all levels to pay the arrears of earned allowances.
