Corruption is like a cankerworm in our system. In fact, it is not out of place to say that corruption has poisoned not only our system, but our minds. Also lots of people are now thinking that if you can’t beat them, you have to join them. This mentality is the reason why Nigeria has refused to produced a faithfully leaders from the time of the independence to this very moment. It is no longer surprising that Nigeria with all its numerous mineral resources is still regarded as an undeveloped country that is not on the verge of development.

Nigeria is referred to as the GIANT OF AFRICA and we, Nigerians sit back and watch other countries that are not giant’s e.g. South Africa, Ghana etc. develop from strength to strength. It is indeed a pity. A pity that as large as Nigeria is. It is still tied to the apron strings of developed world. It is a pity that every mind IN Nigeria is totally corrupt.

That is why; it has become paramount for us as youth and new generation of leaders to take a stand against corruption. We have to realize that you don’t have to join those you can’t beat. You can also fight till the very end. We have to equip ourselves psychologically and academically study hard and re-orient your minds. Believe in yourself because what you think you are is what you are. We need to realize the fact that we can take Nigeria from this pit and set it on higher ground. We need to be black, be bold, be honest, be correct, be right, and be upright and breakaway from the crowd mentally. We need to believe in ourselves.
