PDP Group Tells Jonathan To Reconcile With OBJ So As To Win South West by deleib(m): 11:52am On Dec 19, 2014
A group, Concerned PDP Stakeholders, on Thursday, advised President Goodluck Jonathan to reconcile with former President Olusegun Obasanjo in order to win in the South-West in 2015.
In a statement by its coordinator, Mr.Taofeek Oshodi, the group said since the All Progressives Congress had picked Prof. Yemi Osinbajo (SAN), as the running mate to Maj.Gen Muhammadu Buhari (retd.) the President must devise plans to woo the Yoruba.
The group noted that the President needed to give the South-West a firm commitment and demonstration of recognition by considering its indigenes for top political appointments.
The group said, “The foremost strategic step President Jonathan should take immediately is to find a way to reconcile with his estranged political godfather who is the National Leader of the PDP, and the most respected political figure in the South-West. There is no other way out.
“The President must know that with the APC fielding a Yoruba Vice-President from a Christian background, we need to strategise on balancing political appointments now as the only way to tilt the equation. If President Jonathan wants to win the 2015 elections he must do this without delay.”
While reacting to the APC’s claim that its presidential primary was transparent, the group said the votes counted at the primary did not add up.
According to the group, if over 7, 000 delegates were accredited to vote at the venue and only a total of 6,000 votes were accounted for according to the figures released, the APC should explain what happened to the remaining 1,206 votes.
“The APC should explain this to Nigerians as some of us are observing them and would not like them to deceive Nigerians with their bogus claims of transparency and fair process. Some APC delegates from Delta State were not allowed to vote,” it said.
The group argued that the APC had no track record of good governance and that all it had was to give Nigerians “promises.”
“The PDP remains the safest option for Nigeria. We cannot put Nigeria in the hands of adventurers and politicians whose motive to get to the corridors of power is due to their grievances and self-interest. The devil we know is definitely better than the saint we don’t know,” the group stated.

Too late. baba is pro APC already oops

try harder.
If APC primary is not credible as everyone sees it then I dunno which other election wud be more credible. had the votes counter more than the 7000 delegates then we can talk of rigging but for God sake you can't force everyone to vote and u can't expect 100% delegates vote. obviously some people wudnt withstand the long time spent in the stadium before the voting started. some were undecided.
