Can someone help me ask this pastor how rich were the missionaries and how many earthly possessions his master Jesus Christ had?

What he say it's perfectly True. Now listen
1,When GOD'S CALLED YOU,HE EMPOWERS YOU TO PRODUCE FRUITS OF SIGNS AND WONDERS
2,MEMBERS THAT ARE BLESSED BY THAT MINISTRATION WILL IN TURN BLESS YOU WITH MATERIAL GIFTS,NOW HOW YOU USED THOSE GIFTS IS BETWWEN YOU AND GOD.
3,WHEN YOU ACQUIRED MATERIAL BLESSINGS,YOU MAY BE HUMBLED BY IT OR YOU BECOME PROUD,THAT'S BETWEEN YOU AND GOD.
4,WHEN SOMEONE SPENDS MONEY ON IVF(3,000,000.00)three x,no child/children,THEN COMES TO A MAN OF GOD FOR PRAYERS,AFTER DELIVERY OF THOSE CHILDREN,DO YOU EXPECT THE MAN TO JUST GO AND SIT DOWN? Off course he will definitely bless the MAN OF GOD WILLING,HAPPILY,AND CHEERFULLY
5,So simply do the maths, when his prayers produces an incredible results, don't you know that the recipient of that miracle will return to bless the man of GOD
PLSSSSS DO NOT JUGDE HOW THEY USE THERE BLESSINGS,leave that to GOD,Even if you talk till tomorrow people that are bless by the miracles will still bless there pastors materially

I understand what you're saying but the kinda pastors we have these days discourage people. . Pastors buy private jets, build mansions, send their kids even relations abroad , etc with church members' money...

when bible was written, we had good pastors but now na end time pastors, so we gats be wise cheesy.... There are still exceptions though

And d devil speaks through a ''supposed man-of-god''. So Apostle Paul who lived a life of poverty just to ensure he preached d gospel and didn't burden any church was not called (1 Cor 11:23) n the disciples who refuse to be involved in 'sharing' church provisions so as to serve God (Acts 6:1-3).

The North East burns and christians are slain almost daily. The pastors living fat on their members sweat, turn a blind eye to it. They stay in lagos and Abuja n ''pray'' for d christians in the North East.

Hmmm... What a perverse gospel! Does Jesus mean 'investment' when He says "I am after my Father's business"? That is a clear carnal understanding. Being poor on earth is not the evidence that one is not called. Jesus says His true followers should lay up their treasures in Heaven where moths cannot infect. He warns that His genuine followers should do this earthly Church business or investment but they should invest in Heaven. Besides, being poor earthly does not mean one is not called by God to lead His sheep. Just as being rich and doing great miracles, signs and wonders are not the proofs that one is called by God. Whosoever doeth the Will of God is born of God. Whosoever doeth righteousness and preaches the Christ and Kingdom of God is called of God. That is why Jesus says "by their fruits ye shall know them". Meaning that as many who do not do the Will of God and preaches truth are not of God. Certainly not those who are physically prospering in sin or "Church business" that are called. Why do men always try to justify their belief, philosophy or what they do? Did God also instruct pastor Umah Ukpai to be demanding money from people? Did God ask him to say "those who have 100k,50k,20k,15k,10k,5k,1k, 5h,etc" should come out and donate it for prayers and blessings? But he does that whenever and wherever he holds his 1million-man crusades. Or is that his own way of doing "his father's business"? Let him change and teach the truth. He knows the truth but he is keeping it from his listeners and followers. God is not a respecter of anyone. Being poor is a thing of the heart. You may see someone as being poor but he or she sees believes he or she is rich in Christ Jesus. No genuine christian is poor in the sight of God. So Ukpai is teaching falsehood. May God have mercy on him.

And how many of that gets to the poor members? Someone popular said last week that to get any sort of assistance monetarily from the church, has become as hard as ever.

Jesus was not poor materially. Someone who could feed thousands comfortably is not poor!
Some ppl read but don't understand abd won't bother to ask questions before of inferiority complex.
The bible said Jesus fed the multitude with the bread and fish the disciples got from a small girl. He pray over it and it multiplied.
Nigerian pastors can't feed people that come for crusade. All they are after is how much they will make from offerings.
Ole pastors.

Well, i think some persons misunderstood what Umar is saying. Gods calling comes with GIFT and its the gift that makes way. The poor pst may not hve met the person that needs his gift if called OR has met the member BUT he in turn refused to bless the pastor. Some said give to the orphanage, how many orphanage have u giving? I red others calling Umar names, hmmm. Remember Miriam & Moses. Since u hve nt been giving to pastors, how big are you or is the pastors dead? God knows am nt his member nor a pastor but the truth must be told, u dont judge the UNCALLED wt the CALLED else u run into trouble.

I always encourage people to pay their tithe to the less privileged, orphans, etc instead of giving their hard earned money to all these money hungry pastors...God help us
money to beggars arent tithe but offering. Abraham gave his tithe to king of salam nt the poor. Take all tithe to the house of thy lord.

When people refuse to use their minds their so called leaders wiill spit in the their faces with no apologies.

And of all he mentioned making women pregnant and making people rich are the things pastors can do-that is how you know a criminal.

pastor cannot make women pregnant and pastors cannot make anyone rich, prayers cannot even do that...if you doubt that how many top CEOs in the world are true Christians?

99.9% of Christians are employed by either Atheist,Agnostics or Muslims and yet they are most invasive, noise making religion on earth.

The black community will always remain backward as long as we have fools and thieves like Uma Ukpai as their leaders.

A pastor is not a businessman, but a Shepherd. Any shepherd who fattens himself on the blood, meat, milk and wool of his flock (by turning his divine calling into a business, twisting God's Word to suit his greed and pride) will surely experience the wrath of God.
-Isaiah 56:8-12
-Jeremiah 23:1-4
-Ezekiel 34:1-10
-Zechariah 11:8

A word is enough for the wise...

[quote author=globalwaly post=29061163]Dr Uma Ukpai, the president and founder of Uma Ukpai Evangelistic Association, has said poor men of God did not receive divine calling.

He also told Daily Independent that it was untrue that people resorted to Church establishment out of joblessness.

According to Ukpai, “Jesus calls church business. He said, ‘I am about my father’s business’. He called church work business and what is business? Business is investment plus gain, minus loss. In church planting, no pastor can collect offering without giving account and survive. Every church has elders and the job of the elders is to make sure that account is given; it is not even publicly but given internally but the account must be given.

“Church is all about investment and the gain they make is not in money but in people; that is the gain they make. People also can be called money because for instance, if a pastor’s ministry can cause 20 women to get pregnant; those women will not forget the pastor. If a pastor’s ministry can produce one of the richest 10 men in the country, those men will not forget the man who made them what they are.

“When you are into ministry and you have what we call anointing, you have become profitable; you begin to touch lives; you begin to bless people; you begin to change the stories of families and your own story will change also because the man that waters others shall be watered by God. There is so much misinformation about the church. It is not all about money. If your pastor has anointing that can make the blind see, cripples walk, leprosy to disappear, that pastor is in money.

“The only man you can worry about is a man who has no anointing; a man who God has rejected; a pastor who God has not approved what he is doing. God does not bless what he does not approve. If God approves what a pastor is doing, he will have more money than he can spend. I am an example.”

On the forthcoming general elections vis-a-vis the challenges of Boko Haram insurgency, Ukpai said the crisis was part of Nigerian culture.

“There is nothing new happening. We are used to fighting; we are used to killing and duping one another. People try to magnify little problems here and there as things that can overwhelm or swallow Nigeria. Let me tell you, we shall still be here after 2015. All these problems are old problems. Nobody has been able to manufacture new ones.

“Even APC (All Progressives Congress) or PDP (Peoples Democratic Party), they have not been able to manufacture new problems. So, this country will still be here after 2015. All those stupid prophecies are from uninformed prophets, who have neither heard from nor seen God. Take it from me that this country will still be here and intact after 2015″.

Commenting on attacks on Christians in some parts of the country, Ukpai said persecution had been part of the Christian calling.

Quoting from the Holy Book, Ukpai pointed out that “The Bible promised us persecution; it did not say we shall not be persecuted. Secondly, persecution sharpens us and makes us pray better. I would rather have Christians persecuted than Christians not persecuted, because the more you persecute Christians, the more they will pray; the more they will seek after God. Those who seek after God shall know their God and those who know their God shall do exploit. So, in the attempt to harm us, they are sharpening us for a better and greater day.”
Pastors that are poor were not called by God
Ukpai, however, appealed to politicians and other well-meaning Nigerians to work towards the peace, unity and prosperity of the country.

His words: “We are praying for politics with principles; we are praying for politicians who have prepared themselves to serve and not to lord over us; and we are looking for politicians who are accountable to us and to themselves. But most importantly, we are asking for electorate who would not ask for bribes. Let nobody collect money to vote. If you collect money to vote, you have destroyed your moral right to account from the elected officers.

“We want our politicians to know that we cannot continue to run in circle; let them show some level of maturity. Finally, every politician must respect the sacredness of human beings. Let nobody be killed because of another person’s ambition. When anybody is killed, he cannot be reproduced and because we didn’t create anybody, we don’t have the right to kill anybody. So, can our politicians try to show good measure of maturity and intelligence, fear of God and preparedness to obey the laws of the land? They behave as though there are no laws. There are laws and we must obey those laws; that is what will help us move forward and move in a manner that will bring reward.
